Rarest stuff you've seen or caught in a Pokemon game

Back in gold i saw a shiny hoothoot BEFORE you are given pokeballs rather painful epescially as it was the first shiny id ever seen other than red gyarados.
In white i have caught a shiny kricketune, probably one of my least favourite pokemon.

My first was when I caught a full health Heatran in a luxury ball on my platinum. My second was finding a shiny poochyena (which I dubbed Midas) at the beginning of the game and a shiny Snubbull (in the safari zone no less) in the same emerald save. Got them both though I was worried about losing that Snubbull for a bit.

Well, on Pokemon Red, i caught a Chancey inside the Safari Zone, sure it might not be as lucky as modern shinys, but seeing it was lucky alone, let alone being able to catch it before it flee.

Otherwise, perhaps the shiny Poochyena i caught in Sapphire, i was just grinding up a team of Pick Up'ers for rare candies, but i didn't wanted to use any to bulk them up to train them in higher areas, so i was basically fighting stuff on the first route, untill i encountered it and caught it.

And perhaps the Shiny Aipom in Emerald...but that was a safari pokemon, and even that ran off. :/

Third gen was my favorite to. I loved the lushness of the greenery and the difficulty spike in Emerald.

I've got a possible thread-winner here.

I caught a shiny Gastly once. Yeah, blue smoke looks COOL on a Gastly.

But that's not all. It also had Pokerus. How freaking rare is that?

I know that there's about a 1/8000 chance of getting a shiny. I'm pretty sure Pokerus has a 3/65000 chance of occuring. Any math-buffs out there know what the odds are of catching a shiny with Pokerus?

I used to have a shiny Steelix back on my Silver, I cought it as an Onix and evolved it. Sadly that game got corrupted and I lost it.

I've seen and caught a blue male Nidoran on Silver and a blue Corsola in Emerald.

I've gotten two random shiny pokemon in my games, a gold Hoothoot in the original gold and then a blue and white Voltorb in heartgold.

well, i have a black rayquaza, thuoght when i got it, the kid hacked his game in trade for it, (latter i found my trade of all 9 starter pokemon was probably a good choice.) and also was told my party had pokerus or something, lv. 89 by the end of the night. Then for the first time, i saw a shiny goldeen, just outta the blue, then a second within five minutes.

I caught a shiny (gold) Ratatta in SS, and a shiny Lilipup and Patrat in Black. I released the Ratatta. Getting such pathetic shiny Pokemon is barely better than not getting any at all.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyback in the original Gold version found a shiny Koffing in the Rocket base I was pumped to say the least but I lost the bastard when my Fraligator hit with a crit, to say I was mad was an understatement. Tried to egg farm a shiny Ralts in Platinum, sadly it didn't work out. but the Hoenn region's Ralts population dramatically increased.

My first and only shiny in Pokemon White, a Shiny Wynaut.

I've had a shiny Poochyena and a shiny Mankey in the same playthrough of (I think) Sapphire. They're the only shiny pokemon I've legitimately encountered (I have a friend who uses Gameshark codes and the likes).

I had a shiny Hoppip/Skiploom/Jumpluff. I also saw a shiny Graveler once but it used self-destruct. I raged for a second there.

I had a shiny poliwag for a while there too.

I caught both a Pinsir and a Chansey with just one Safari Ball and no dicking around.

Never have seen a Shiny, though.

I haven't ever seen a shiny.

However, I did get pokerus on my sapphire and have transferred it up through every game since.
