It's not often you can say that a cover of a FeMaiden song of all things is damn near indistinguishable from perfect. But this.....this plays to my weaknesses. It's simplified, yes, but that simplification, in its own way, strengthens the music. A highly enjoyable listen, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Very not my style. Musically good, but not moving or interesting to me. :/

This album opens with Sacred Worlds, another song in much the same style as Wheel of Time. Throughout the album, there are references to wheels and turning, and this song kind of seems to wrap it all up thematically. At The Edge of Time is an excellent album, if you enjoy this kind of music, I highly recommend it.

7/10 I'm not a fan of symphonic metal, for several reasons. firstly, the fact that heavy instrumentals rarely work well with large orchestration, however, this song worked fairly well. secondly, it's usualy just, oh so, dramatic and the end results are, more often than not, too over dramatic to take seriously, which is where I find fault with this. It feels like it's just trying too hard to be epic and big, especially with the vocals and lyrics, though, I can't say it's bad, especially, with the instrumentals.

8/10 Pretty good, but that guitarist should get a real shirt.

I've been playing this game a lot lately, so here, have an ost:

Thanks, it was awesome. A good mix of contemporary sound, appropriate for the medium, and a classic Japanese style music, which I really love. I´m not be very good at these kind of games, but I really dig the music.

Pretty uneventful tune. For a rock instrumental to be good, it has to speak. To me, there didn't seem to be any song-like character to any of the instrumental parts. Also, noisy. Can't stand most Nirvana.

Love me some good old fashioned jazz. Nothing quite like relaxing to this stuff.

On the other side of the spectrum, however, there's nothing quite like rocking out to some Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath when you're in the mood.

I'm digging the reggae style in the backbeat. It is, for lack of a better word, groovy.

Queensryche has got to be one of the best arena rock/pop metal bands ever to come out of the 80s. Their musical style was distinct and their lyrics were brash, in-your-face teenage rebellion (along with some powerful social commentary). Sadly, I run into very few people who have actually heard them before, and it just occurred to me that I hadn't yet linked one of their songs in this thread. Enjoy!

9/10 I really wish I still had this album... it perished at the hands of my rice cooker along with my Ipod...
