8.5/10 I really loved the textures in this piece. Especially when it creates this pulsating wall of sound. It's oddly relaxing. The softer interludes create a nice contrast, which makes the parts with the huge sound that much more effective. The ending felt oddly abrupt though.
9.2/10 A fascinating piece that is very calming to listen to. Works very well for reading. If I have any complaint, it would be that it sounds a bit monotonous.
Absolutely wonderful piece - I love how this folky song manages to sound excitingly adventurous and absolutely beautiful but still retains an aura of somewhat sad introspection. Also violins. I fucking love violins.
8/10 Some very neat textures there. The jumps between tonal material and dissonant clusters can be a bit jarring though, to the point where the integrity of the piece as a whole suffers. I've certainly heard worse though
I guess that this piece was likely written for an organ? Frankly, not too much of a fan of pure organ-music nor do I have a particular faible for the baroque-era when it comes to classical music. It's not bad but to me it lacks punch and direction.
NOSTALGIA FUEL! MUST RESIST!! BUT CAAAAAAAAAAAANNNN'TTTTT!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!
...
7.5/10
Remember my father playing that game a lot and me playing that game a lot. I was never too much a fan of the soundtrack but damn does this remind of that game in a very good way. The piece is varied, catches what it goes for perfectly and has some nice sequences in it stays too shallow though and also if I only cared a little bit more for that country/bluegrass kind of music....
7.5/10 I've always enjoyed how cheerful it sounds. Also, the show gets quite a bit better in the second season. The first is kind of meh. Ron Swanson is my hero.
6.9/10 For an iconic piece of music hearing the full piece shows a very frantic pace as it flits between various speeds and instruments. In a way it matches the climactic battle in the film, but standing on its own this tune seems a bit missing. It has these various emotions conveyed and memorable riffs, but it kinda needed the scene in order to make the song stand out. Nevertheless, it's a fair song.
7/10 Jaunty, old timey, and maybe a bit dull. The instruments change over time which is something you don't realize until you listen to it, and it probably works for walking around a downtown district or Victorian Faire.
