True but Raw Milk is extremely fatty, and it's shelf life is only a few days even if refrigerated...

I'll stick to my delicious vanilla soy milk. It really isn't as bad as it sounds.
Same here, only substitute chocolate for vanilla.

I don't trust milk, raw or not. It makes me sick, why would I want to drink it?

As previously stated, you can make Kefir from soured raw milk. It's fine actually.

About it being fatty... It's actually very nutritious. The CLA and other nutrients referenced in that article are very good. I may provide more sources if you need them. The saturated fat content is about the same as pasteurized milk.

I think the main problem is that it doesn't keep as long, and transportation would be an issue.
Raw milk sours much quicker, but it is still edible. You can actually make some great Kefir from it after it sours...

Pasteurized or homogenized milk start tasting like trash and have a smaller shelf life.
I can't tollerate the taste or smell of pasturized milk 4 days after opening it. I'd hate to think there's milk out there that goes bad faster.

Raw milk sours whereas pasteurized milk tastes like crap after a few days. The former is a natural process.

I may give more empirical sources and studies to prove what I'm saying is true.

I have no issue if you enjoy the taste more, but saying one is better than the other is an objective claim... In this case, you'd be wrong.

Granted, I respect your view if you simply want an economical means to purchase milk and etc. It's just, I'm claiming one is more healthy than the other, and this has been proven.
You took way more from that one sentence than what was really there. I was just joking around.

Milk is generally fine in most developed countries but the biggest threat is the use of RGBH, which is why American milk is banned in most of those countries. I have read a lot about it over the years and it was corruption in the FDA that allowed this practice to stay the norm, and now poeple suffer for it.

As soon as someone starts funding this whole organic food craze for me, I'll be all over it. Until then, the regular stuff I buy at the grocery store is just fine.

I did try to go organic before, growing and buying, but I didn't feel any different (athlete here). I also tried liquid vitamins and they are so overrated. The biggest problem is peoples' diets don't have enough variety. Once people get past their usual foods, they'll start feeling much better. Screw that organic crap.

I actually have raw milk some in my fridge right now. There are a lot of farms around where I live, so it's pretty easy to get.

Same for me, just sans the vanilla. Or almond/oat/hemp/rice milk...
I've always hated milk, and raw milk is even worse for me. No offense to any of you lovers of it, but I'll stay the hell away from any secretions from any sort of animal...

Americans aren't particularly savvy about the food they eat in the first place, and for the most part either don't have the time or don't want to take the time to become so. For this reason, while there are a number of foods that are fine or great for you under certain conditions, these foods will always be ignored for statistically safer alternatives. You can eat raw chicken if the bird was healthy and treated well, and some people do. You can eat raw fish if it was healthy and treated well, and some people do. You can drink raw milk if the cow was healthy and treated well, and some people do. Most of us don't know where our food comes from, and even if we did we wouldn't know the first thing about discerning the health of an animal or its living conditions, so we go with the mediocre but statistically safer alternatives.

My neighbors own a free-range dairy farm (a bonus to living in the country) and we've been buying 'raw milk' from them for about 5 years. The stuff is amazing.

I have had no problems with raw milk, it's good stuff! Obviously buy it from a good source but I would not flinch at drinking or cooking it!

Does raw milk have the same odd aftertaste as 2%?
