I will enjoy it while it last, he truly was an awful man which only polluted other youtube videos and he will be back, but until then :D
yeah, I'm gonna go with you on this one. There's much better stuff out the to watch than that guy.

OT: I for one find this FUCKING HILARIOUS. I wonder if he did something terrible or if he just pissed off a mod?

Im not surprised, he repeatedly stole videos from other users without asking their permission, it wasn't so bad at first since he linked to the content owners videos but then he started linking directly to his website instead and pretty much stuck his middle finger up to the people who enabled him to have such popularity.

I doubt Google was happy with banning him but i'd imagine lots of the people who's IP rights he had infringed complained to youtube and likely after repeatedly ignoring warnings from youtube he got himself banned.

If I had to guess the straw that probably broke the camel's back was one of those viral videos being part of an ad campaign for something that does business with Youtube, with the producers getting all butthurt that someone mocked it to a large enough audience that it couldn't be taken seriously for it's original purpose.
Makes sense in his latest video he did make fun of that really disturbing virgin show ad from tlc.

Doesn't matter though he'll be back one way or another and it's not like he doesn't have any other channels

Not that I ever cared, but good riddance. Now YouTube will stop suggesting me to subscribe to him, at least.

Don't know who he is, don't care that he got banned. Sounds like his videos are garbage. So it's fitting that he had the most subs on youtube.

I used to like him, but when he hired his whole team and got other people on his show I think he lost his touch and relied too heavily on them and overall just became really stale

I never watched a second of his videos. They would clog the front page and a lot of the related videos every time you went on YouTube, that guy must've done nothing but make new videos.

why are people glad a person lost their job?
If that is his "job", then he really needs to learn to do something with his life outside of youtube.

How odd. I was watching him a few hours ago.

He was the most subscribed person/channel on YouTube, surely that would make YouTube get him back asap?

I like him, in fact I was subscribed to him. I think he's got less funny in the past year, but I love watching the viral video's he reviews.
I enjoyed him initially, but I stopped watching him a while ago. He's become terribly unfunny, and at this point he's just riding the inherent humor of internet phenomenon.
I think it's since, or just as he was ready to move to LA from NY and he got that whole team behind him helping with the show. It's almost like they killed it and he just got a bit too stuck about it and went along with it.

I'm waiting for him to say something about this on Twitter or FB, it's almost like Z-list celeb trash :p

...Thank god, he was really annoying and while we're at it, ban half the other v-bloggers out there. In case people were wondering, it says he was banned for copyright infringement.
bingo, he made money from some viral video's that were copyrighted, sending it via email for personal consumption would have been fine but not on the public stage and making money by being the Youtube partner program.

A little musings from myself children, gather round;
This is essentially what SOPA will do in its current form, bring down Youtube partner's like Machinima and The Escapist vids on youtube.

I would wager he was making more off his "job" than you are off yours, or most people in this thread. I also think it would be very hard to argue that he wouldnt have been thoroughly enjoying his "job" too while making a small fortune off it.

Er, why? Getting paid to do something you love and a lot of people would kill to do, not to mention being able to live off that money without any other job.

Sounds fucking awesome.

Does anyone know what he did? This seems fishy to me seeing as hes a youtube partner and the most subbed on youtube. Doubt they would ban him
As I've said before, "I think his acount got shut down 'cause that he took other peoples videos and put them on his website and put the links to the videos on his website in the description of his videos. That way, he got money from other peoples videos."
Nah, he always got use permission for his videos, except for the racist one he put up last video. I think that was stolen and racist, so youtube was like "last straw, fuck off".

If sitting on your ass and making videos about other peoples videos (my understand of what he did) makes more money then software development, then just another example of how this world is messed up.
