First off, if this is in the wrong board, MODS PLEASE DELETE THIS. I'll start it up again in the appropriate board.

Okay, here we are. The basic concept; Go to your profile and click on Posts, then go to last and find your very first post. Copy it, then come back here and paste it into your reply. That's all you do. No set-up, no background as to what you are saying, just the post. Let's see what we get...

I'll begin;

-------

I'm ready on Monday. Big chunk o' text under this spoiler, so there we go.

Name: Charlie "Flyboy" Tarring

Age: 19

Occupation: A mechanic of sorts, but has nothing to work on, so a drifter.

Description: Around 5'9", Charlie wears a grease stained shirt and badly scorched jeans. His blond hair is often matted with oil, and held back by a pair of pilots goggles he found. He has a large chunk taken out of his left ear thanks to an exploding exhaust.

Motivation: Flying, Exploring, Mechanicing

Personality: Since he was young, Charlie dreamt of taking to the skies, and exploring the rest of the barren land, and finding new cities. His grandfather would tell stories that had been passed down of the great ships of the sky that would take people from coast to coast. Of course, in this day and age, it is a struggle to find anything that could possibly even glide, let alone a plane. Bored of his hometown, The Flyboy left, with nothing but his name and the clothes on his back to see if his dreams would become a reality.
The world is a dark place, and so most people have to fight to survive. Not really a violent natured person, Charlie uses his quick wit, sarcastic humour and comic ability to avoid confrontation. Thats said, if pushed, Charlie will fight back.

Allegiances: Technology, Family, Exploring

Fighting Style: Whilst never having to defend himself in his hometown, the harsh reality of the real world forced Charlie to grow up fast. He can spar fairly well, and is nimble on his feet. He also uses a metal pole to attack, weilding it like a staff. However, in most situations, Charlie will try and use humour to charm his way out of a fight.

Skills and Abilities: Mechanics (can fix pretty much anything motorized), History of Airtravel, Running

Deficiencies: Can't really drink much alcohol...

Equipment: A metal pole which is lashed to his back, which doubles as a weapon and a tool. He carries a small pack which contains spare parts for vechicles, tools, and a battered dog-eared copy of an airplane manual. His pilot's goggles have been modified to act as binoculars and can be adjusted accordingly.

------

It was this RP that made me sign up to the Escapist in the first place =)

Off we go!!!

I see why you want one.

OT, I'm quite content to laugh at all the mortals who have no skills in spelling and grammar.

Also, I probably wouldn't use it, as I have an excellent grasp of the English language, the only mistakes I make being typos (which I quickly correct).

I also think that it seperates intelligences - so the clever people can use grammar, the unintelligent can't, so I think it adds some nice perspective.
Yeah, you might want to learn how to spell separate.

I'm really gonna enjoy it when gamers are not a minority anymore. Then idiot newspapers and newschannels that still post crap like this will lose alot of money very fast. But that makes me wonder what the gaming generation is going to blame violence on...

Maybe we'll do something wild and crazy and actually try to find the real problem?

I don't listen to music most people do (let alone can dance to) but for some reason I can dance to this loud, violent slab of punk.

Whoo insulting the tards! Go Yahtzee!

and yeah it's the new generation of gamers kinda do suck balls a little I mean there are people who played games all their life, then theres people who can't game for crap and think since they can beat the samey cartoony crap games Nintendo seems to spew out on a daily basis, they are far supirior to 'real' gamers (Feh Angery Nerd = me)and thus they spam you to death with the most enjoyable hate mail, whenever you say what most good gamers are thinking

Pardon my poor Grammer.
"There's people who played games all their life, and then there's..." HAHAHA.
Do you have any idea how stupid that sounds?
I can't tell you whether I was drunk, high or somehow otherwise influenced by a substance foreign to my body... But my first post seems rather... Well, it is not that thought out, I would guess.

Could accept RPG to mean dice rolls too, similar to DnD, where the damage dealt as well as many other factors are determined through random rolls, hence why doing the same exact thing to the same exact enemy in the same exact way with the same exact stuff can result in doing 20 damage or 25.
I do not know if this is an official meaning of RPG, but it was one I was told once, and if anything atleast fits.
About renaming JRPGs.

Showing a zombie Jesus in a game is like showing Muhammad (well not nearly that bad), its against all religious morals but you think that the religious people could laugh at themselves once in a while, however since that's probably not gonna change anywhere in the near future no zombie Jesus for us insensitive people
I'd completely forgotten about that... my first post was about why zombie Jesus was never in a game.

as a joke i would construct a totalitarian town with forced labour and communist ideals then surround that town with another city built on democracy and capitalism but tantalize the citizens of the inner town with freedom, but no really this is just a joke and if it reminds you of something feel free to comment.
Wow...what does that remind me of.
