I play guitar (6 strings), bass (5 strings) and drums. I'm not a good drummer but I consider myself pretty good when it comes to the guitar and bass (I can play Dragonforce but I don't like to).

I also do the vocals (mostly screaming and growling but also clean) for my own songs.

And I'm not doing the usual stuff (working, gaming etc.) I'm also writing songs (currently I have written over 210 songs).

I don't have a band though. It's a little one man project.

I play the drums but can't read notes. I play by ear.
While I played the drums, I was illiterate when it came to note reading too...
I also tried the bass, but that didn't last long. Wish I'd have kept one of them up.

I play the piano, guitar, drums, and bass. A little showoffy, but true. I am a self taught guitarist, bassist, and drummer. I worked the bass in a ska band for a while, but that was the past. I also sing, Bass.

I'm currently learning to play guitar, it's pretty tough as I have to self-learn it because there isn't anybody around to teach me, I have a amp coming in the mail over the weekend, and I'm also getting a wah pedal around next week

(first song I learned was Legend of Zelda theme lol)

I have a band now where I jump between guitar, bass, drums and vocals, but guitar is my main instrument and where the biggest interest is.

I play the bass guitar.
It makes me feel above 6-string players, simply because they all act like pricks over the fact that they can play a guitar, whereas I can be chill, sitting there and playing some nice calm jazzy stuff.

I feel like over the years, guitars have gone away from what they were originally intended for, and are now for grinding upon and just generally making yourself look like an ass.

Which is why the bass is better in my mind, because 1. Not everyone can play the thing and 2. bassists tend to be more "chill" about things in my experience.

I play a 4-string Ibanez GSR190. 24 frets, 3 pickups, mine's black. I wish I could have afforded a wood finish, so much more awesome.

If you were so 'Chill' you would not need to put down guitarists nor would you feel 'above' them.

Think about that.

I actually am pretty "Chill", in the most...I dunno, modern version of the word?
I'm not putting guitarists down, or if it seems so, I don't exactly mean to, I'm just saying that many guitarists in my experience, while having a lot of potential and skill, are total dicks about it.

For some reason, this made me laugh. I just know a bunch of people who have written "hundreds" of songs, yet have never been in a band. They're usually antisocial twats.

Not to say you're a twat ... I mean, you probably are, but I just don't know for sure ...

... blerg.

I've been in various bands, and toured with POD and Chevelle a few years ago.
What was your band who toured with them if you don't mind me asking?

I played piano but my teacher quit to go back to college, and I haven't played for three years. I could probably still play, but I really want to get a drum kit.

No I'm no antisocial twat or something like that. I just can't find people who want to be in a band.

I've played the guitar since I was 7, and I recently got grade8! Distinction! Woo! I dabble in bass+drums too.

EDIT: My main guitar is a Gibson sg, with two bare knuckle nailbomb pickups. Sweet!!!
