I know that there are few games that can claim to be realistic - the oh-so-often-mentioned-in-this-thread ArmA II, for example. I don't play them, because that's not my kind of game - but i cannot really hate them. I
do, however hate visual and thematic realism that plagues the gaming industry. People should probably start distinguishing between realistic gameplay and realistic graphics/themes, but i digress.
If asked politely, i could probably write a ten-page essay on why i hate
brown-camouflaged US marines[sup]TM[/sup] capturing
unidentified brown Middle-Eastern locales[sup]TM[/sup] and shooting at
brown-camouflaged Arabic terrorists[sup]TM[/sup] backed by
ZOMG EVIL RUSSIANS![sup]TM[/sup] and why i would rather play a game about gas-masked catlike repairman from the galaxy far far away saving the universe by means of killing a lot of baddies with a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning.
