There was a game like this in Germany and some People actually bought it. About 12 i think.
You see some "dirt" decals on the street and then you could sweep them up. You could load trashcans, hire people and i will not bore you Guys with anymore of that.
There was a Garbage Truck Simulator before and it was boring.

There where other Games by the same Company, they made "Bus Simulator" in which you drove a Bus around, the "Farm-Simulator" in which you could harvest Grain and other stuff with a combine Harvester for hours. I knew a Guy who actually bought that game and enjoyed it for some Reason.
Maybe those Games get really good if you more Booze in your Body then Blood.

Another Game that can only be "enjoyed" while drunk is the "Construction Simulator". You can pick up a Pile of Sand and drop it somewhere else. Fun! And then you get to do it again with Gravel! And Dirt!

And of course there's the Train Simulator, in which you can drive Trains. Bleh...

Figures that games like that originate from Germany. What other Genres will we crazy People pioneer next?

Maybe a Game where where you get to fill out tax forms? "Press X to declare your former Application void as described in §37b, Subsection 3a of your Contract with the Blarg Company.".
Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you feel the need to capitalise the first letter of random words throughout your post?

How much sarcasm are we dripping in anyway?

*checks Sarcas-O-Meter*

We are approaching lethal levels. Better lay off and not fill the topic with too much more sarcasm.
Wait you guys are being sarcastic? I thought that you guys we're like me, interested in the exciting career of waste management!

Putting aside how I can't possibly imagine anyone actually wanting to play this game - unless it was free on the internet, possibly? - the visual affects on that screenshot look like something that came out in the mid 90s. Seriously, I know you're not going for the AAA crowd, but you could at least try.

I'm in week 4 of research for a paper on landfills (with a focus on the effects of manufacturing decisions) and I can not express how big of an opportunity these guys missed.
Curbside to truck is the most boring part of of waste management, but SIM Landfill?

That would be like the mother of all resource managements games. You've got to mange you free space against the steadily increasing tide of refuse. Will you try to promote garbage bio-degradation at the risk of environmental contamination? or will you accept the lack of space reclamation in order to minimize environmental risk. Spend your meager budget on a methane capture system or just burn off waste gas? Only accept Municipal Solid Waste, or start dealing with construction debris? And the expansion potential is endless, SIMLandfill: Recycling Center, SIMLandfill Hazardous Waste, and the ultimate, SIM Landfill: Yucca Mountain.

If someone made that game I would play the crap out of it.

Yeah, my brain shut down on these when I saw Farm Simulator on Steam the other day.

As for GTA4, all that is needed is being able to dump your load. On people. Funny shit.

Oh boy! I hope it has as much DLC as their train simulator. I'll buy EVERYTHING! [http://store.steampowered.com/app/24010/?snr=1_4_4__13]
That works out to £773.31 in total (not including the actual game)! Holy crap!
Yeah, the DLC is insane.

Still, I do actually play train simulator. (What? I like trains OK?), but I got it in a steam sale for £5.

As much as I like the game (I wouldn't have played it for 106 hours if I didn't), I still wouldn't pay the full retail price for it, let alone what the DLC is going for...

But, garbage truck simulator?

Wasn't Ship simulator, Euro-freight truck simulator, fire engine simulator... Bus driver... Not to mention the classic; Flight simulator, I mean, where will it end exactly?

I know! Let's make transportation simulator: A sandbox game where you can get in and out of any vehicle you feel like, and be expected to drive/control it
properly in whatever way makes sense.

That'll solve this whole 'sim' thing once and for all. XD
How about a simulator simulator? You control a character in a simulator, who controls a character in a simulator, who...you get the point.
it's called...Simception DUUNN

we doesn't capitalize random words, the he does it with nouns, you do capitalize every noun in German and from his post i figured he was German

those kind of simulations sell ridiculously well in Germany, just one of those things nobody understands why, like the deer hunting simulators in the US.

How stupid do they think we are?
quite, since the simulators they keep pumping out sell with quite steady numbers. Hell, they got their own shelf slot in my local gamestop - so someone got to be buying them.

It's from a German dev who continually develops sims that no one buys. Like this one.
