This thread has two purposes:

One: tell us about your weird dream.
Two: try and analyse, to the best of your abilities, someone else's weird dream.

And now, my weird dream, which I had just this very morning.
I'm in my house. I'm in my laundry room, which is actually a very tiny room that contains my washing machine and related things. Now, there are two other people in this room. One, I never saw the face of.
The other, is Benny from Fallout: New Vegas [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Benny].
Now, Mr. Benny and I are beating the ever loving shit out of this unidentified person. I don't know why, we just are. All of a sudden, the dream gets weirder.
Paul McDermott, popular Australian comedian [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_McDermott_%28comedian%29], teleported into my room out of no where. He told me to lay off my unidentified person bashing, and to focus all my anger towards Benny.
I replied with: "But I can't! Just like you, Benny is likeable!"
Then, I woke up. And promptly thought: "What...the fuck?"

So, tell the Escapist your weird dreams.

And someone tell me what the hell mine says about my subconscious.

I remember bits and pieces of a few.

One of them included a church, that had a side room full of very strange harpsichords. I hung out there, played some bits of some stuff I knew. My mom was there too, not sure why. Nobody said anything that I can remember. Then we left.

I think the stained glass windows changed whenever you turned around. But maybe not. I have it written down somewhere.

I had a dream set in the Harry Potter world, but drugs were involved. Hagrid was a waster, a big time heroin addict, and he kept warning me to stay away from the Malfoys, who were drug lords. Then I ran into Neville, who told me he wished he'd gone to my 6th Form.

It was fucking fantastic. One of my funnier dreams.

A Fallout dream? That's kinda weird...

Anyway, my recent strange encounter with my mind (did you like that?) also involved something New Vegasy (even though I don't own the game, but that was what I thought in my dream and I now realize it isn't New Vagasy at all...). Two hoards of soldiers were on opposite sides of a wall in a valley. Then I jumped in and destroyed the wall and joined the subsequent battle. I rescued some girl who looked and acted like Ashley from RE4 (I had to tell her to follow me and stuff) and picked up two swords. Then I went into some massive wooden castle type thing and pretneded like I was going to give her to the leader (who looked like nobody in particular). Then we went on a physics based puzzle to escape while being chased by a super minion.

Then I woke up...

In mine, I was walking through this house bathed in a dim yellow light. I left immediately, and I noticed that the street out front was a cul-de-sac, and it was the moon shining bright in the sky. I walked around for at least a few minutes, checking out all the other houses on the street.

They were all boarded up and locked, so I gave up on that pretty quickly and made to walk back towards the house. As I was though, I noticed a shadow creeping slowly towards me from the house. For some reason this scared me, so I walked away as quickly as I could. As my pace quickened, so did the shadow. I then broke into a full blown sprint, and began hearing whispers.

I sprinted further down the street, eventually running into the woods. I looked back, and the shadow was approaching even quicker, though it was hampered by the trees. I continued running, and could hear the whispers getting louder and louder, though I couldn't understand them. I closed my eyes because they were stinging, and opened them when I tripped over a root and tumbled down a hill.

I listened for the whispers So I could get my bearings, but as I was trying to pay attention, a strong wind kicked up that buffeted me with debris. When it died down, I looked around again, seeing only thin woods cloaked in yellow sunlight. It was completely silent, and I was looking around in a panicked state. I took three steps back, before feeling my ankle tugged, throwing me to the ground. And that's when I woke up.

tl;dr: Freaky shit with shadows.

I had several about some weird Apocalypse thing or event.

The first was like every million years(I was 8 when I had this) or so, lasers shoot down from the sky and volcanoes erupt.

The 2nd was the same, but with a weird 3D version of a scene from a Simpsons episode.

The third was like a comet hit Jupiter or some orange planet and it suddenly gained a jagged mouth and started to eat everything, heading to Earth.

The fourth was... like a weird selective thing where parts of the world just got decimated by some weird pattern in the sky. It came complete with radio reports of people getting destroyed... Fucking terrifying.

One that was weird was there was no visuals. All i saw was blackness. With the cacophanous sounds of a crowd of people having an argument. I could listen to individual arguments and they were just about what they should be doing on weekend etc. When I finally woke up (and this is the bit that really weirded me out) I didn't just wake up, reality sought of swiped itself across my vision. Like a video of reality sliding it's way from right to left across the blackness. I will admit I had a bit of a fever at the time.

Flash back to 1999 or so. I'd spent an entire day playing Panzer General and trying in vain to get a Decisive Victory in the Stalingrad scenario. I was having about as much luck as the actual Germans did when it came to winning that battle.

I went to sleep that night and dreamed I was the field operations commander for the battle for the Wehrmacht...and it was right out of a war movie. I solved the problem and the Nazis went on to win WW2.

So what did I do when I woke up? Fired up the game, applied the strategy that came to me in my dreams, and...Decisive Victory.

Panzer General might very well be the only game I've ever literally beaten in my sleep.

Oh, suck it up and quit being bitter. The world probably didn't do anything to you anyways, and beating the shit out it won't change that.

I've had loads of freaky dreams.

Two of the more recent ones are...

1, Two guys dressed similarly to NCR Rangers from Fallout NV play cards in a weird zombie-like fashion in a big warehouse, while the song Bullet With Butterfly Wings and some weird classical stuff play in the background at the same time, the walls are blue and at one end there is a large black and white screen showing weird images, alien autopsies and the like.
Weirder thing is I dreamt it months before I even knew about Fallout NV.

2, Last night I dreamed I went to McDonalds, all the people working there were skeletons, I order a burger of some sort and two skully guys bring out a chicken and viciously rip it to shreads then they put whats left of the poor, still barely alive animal on a tray and give it to me.
Then one of them asks, 'Would ya like fries with that?"
Then I run the hell out of there. Backwards.

Although I had this when I was 10 or 11 years old, I still remember it vividly:
The dream begins with me in a car with my family, driving along the southern shore of Lake Superior in some medium-sized town. It was nighttime, although the moon was rather bright and looked almost like an elevator button due to its rather peculiar shape. Eventually, we turn off of the road and into the parking lot of a hotel we were going to stay at. We then unpack, go to our room, and chill out for a few minutes.

Eventually, I decide to leave the room and head for the lobby of the hotel. The stairs at this hotel were rather peculiar, as instead of simply walking down them I literally slid down them on the heels of my feet due to how small the stairs were. Everything seems fine at this point...

Until I look outside, that is.

Looking back at the moon, all of a sudden a whole quarter of the moon vanishes into nowhere. The rest of the moon starts to spin, and next thing I know the whole thing begins to plummet toward the earth and at the same time makes a terrifying noise similar to that of a Tie Fighter from Star Wars. Air Raid sirens begin filling the air, and I stand in the lobby terrified.

In this moment of terror, my attention is diverted to a dark room adjacent to the lobby of the hotel, the only illumination coming from a bright TV screen that seems to be projecting the image of a newscast. In front of the TV laid a group of children maybe 4 or 5 years old standing, lying, or sitting around the television set and staring blankly at the screen. Without moving a single muscle, the children simply remained motionless while constantly chanting 2 words in monotonic unison:

"Please Remember,
Please Remember,
Please Remember,
Please Remember..."

...
And that was when I woke up.
I'm not sure what the hell it means, nor why after all of this time I remember it so well.

I once had a dream where I was The Doctor's companion. We were tracking down the antagonist. The antagonist was a criminal in a white full-body suit with a teleporting hoverboard. For some reason we could run as fast as the guy on the hoverboard but whatever. We catch up to him and he begins to teleport as one of us jumps on him screwing up the teleporter and trying to pull him into a space between dimensions. The Doctor and I pull on him as hard as we can and save his life. The criminal turns out to be a woman. <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.247848-Your-dream-guy-girl#9114284>This woman actually. We decide to date and fly off in the TARDIS. More things happen and I wake up.

My guess is that your laundry room is not a room you like a whole lot, so while your in there you naturally feel rage, that rage translates into violence and you wish to take that violence out on something, this case im guessing some sort of personification of the land owner/designer. Benny is there from New Vegas because in the game he has shown violent tendencies and you also trust him to get the job done, and Paul is something of a model to you and you take some guidance from him but lately you are weary of what he says which is why in the dream you say the comeback.

thats not a good description but its hard to remember dreams, ANYWAY. My guess the church is someplace you feel safe, to do things you feel restricted to do in public, and lately you feel restricted in the musical arts, which is why you were playing the harpsichords. Your mom was there because either A: you have a hidden desire to impress her with your musical talents shes not aware of or B: she is supportive of your talents and was in the dream cheering you on like she would in real life.

uuuum... my guess is you need to play a game that unlocks your inner BAMF to just let loose and walk away from an explosion while sliding on a pair of shades

My my sir... Several ideas pop up with this kind of dream A: The empty town suggest you are feeling secluded right now and a bit anti social BUT only because a sevear change is happening in your life the change represented by the shadow chasing you. The forest just being though your own subconscious horror zone a place you first imagine when you think horror setting BUT im guessing Yellow has a frightful appearance to you. B: Something is Scareing you right now and you have put off dealing with it, and now the pot is boiling over, so now your mind is working out how to solve these problems the unfortunate part is that it required an overhaul in your dreams of everything you find scary.

This sounds like a fever dream, a strange fever dream, i got nothing except the conversation have a possibility of what you subconsciously heard walking around town/school/work.

DONT think these are 100% correct if even one part of my guesses are correct then cool if they are wrong then im not surprised, i cant fully tell you because i dont know your personal life and what has happened the day before. /disclaimer

My friend had a dream that we went to the arcade and played some DDR. he beat me and I got so upset that I pulled out my spine and turned it into a sword and attacked him only for him to summon an ax made of fire.
I wish my dreams were as cool as his.

I once had a dream in a dream it was split second but i woke up in a dream after dreaming and then i woke up for real. It was a weird feeling on the body.
