Umm i guess i mean, to me i think the only people that don't play "T" games are actual teens and younger kids that think games are cooler because they are rated M.

So what's you're point, aside from admitting that you're shallow?
I don't even pay attention to the games rating, well maybe I'll glance at it and the content descriptors to get an idea of what to expect, but otherwise I don't care about it. Certainly a lack of gore and language does not turn me off a game. Hell I'll play a game that's rated E as long as it's entertaining.

well the real disscuion here is if difficulty levels of rated T games have declined over time.they don't really need foul language or blood&gore but still the random distraction of somethings head exploding can really make a game more difficullt by even a little bit
How does head explosions make games more distracting or difficult? I don't remember encountering a sudden difficulty spike in Fallout 3 when I got the bloody mess perk. Maybe if you played the game specifically for that gore, then I might understand the distraction factor.

Anyway, it's more like the decline of difficulty of all games rather than just ones rated T.
so you saying when a head explodes you don't look at it for a quick moment before killing the next 1?
Generally, no. Unless the head explodes in very unexpected ways. For example, if the head exploded into millions of tiny rainbows. Or if it exploded into hundreds of monarch butterflies. But generally head explosions in videogames results in some CG blood, skull, akin, and brain bits. Generally speaking I'm more interested in getting through the game than staring at something I've already seen dozens of times.

I realized recently that nearly every single one of my games is rated M. I remember the good old days, when my parents were afraid to purchase Jak 2 for me and I felt badass for reading one of the lines on the back of the box.
"He's mad as hell, and he's out for revenge."

Baldur's Gate 2 was rated T and is without a doubt one of the best RPGs ever.

No, I don't need any qualifying statements. It just is.

Certainly not one of the highest selling PC games of all time with an expansion which will once again have thousands calling in sick on release date.

Nah, it's rated T. Nothing rated T could ever sell well. Or be hard. Definitely not.
Impossible. Hell E is doing even worse. Did you hear about the Sims? I heard if it contained genocide, it would be a huge seller.

But, no. It is E. Now lonely mothers don't even touch it.
I heard EA were dropping the Sims franchise and selling it for dimes because of poor sales.

I tried the demo of the rachet and clank game.. (Or whatever it was called) Where you solve puzzles as the robot... The voice of the Robot that takes you through the tutorial made me rage quit right there... T rated shouldn't mean annoying voices...

1.not enough blood.
2.No bad language.
This is a serious question. Are you 14 years old? I'm just wondering because if those seriously stopped making you play a game... Then there's a pretty good chance I don't care for you as a person.

I've never really stopped playing a rated game to be honest unless the gameplay was really flawed or it bored me. I still really enjoy the likes of Ratchet and Clank, Jak, Sly Cooper... Hell I still prefer Timesplitters to any modern FPS. You'd think from all these games I have a PS3. Nope. 360. I would have a PS3 if I could find one that plays PS2 games.

Since when is a T-rated game bad? Portal was rated Teen, and that was difficult, fun , and overall a good game. A judgment about an entire rating based on a mediocre game is hardly unbiased.

Sadly Bioshock adn oblivion are considered M so... I guess I stopped playing when they started making all the good ones rated M and all the shit ones rated below.

Not all Teen games are bad. Just look at Melee and most racing games and twilight princess...

Oh wait... But there are plenty of shit M games.

Yes that's right Games that are rated T for Teen are just because there's no challenge and characters don't talk like sailors and are dying in gory bloodbaths /sarcastic rant.

I still play those types of games examples would be Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter and others.

Damn those T-rated games ruining your perfect logic with their sales figures.

Did you seriously expext to get a circle jerk going with everyone spouting off hatred for T-rated games because they're not violent enough and don't have swearing?
