I don't care for the rating system, i don't buy games based off of the rating system

Besides, last T rated game i bought was Force Unleashed, and i think it's damn good
And the next game i'm going to buy is rated T aswell -> Final Fantasy 13

The most frequently-appearing rating letter in my collection is E, as in "for everyone" followed by T and bringing up dead last (only Oblivion, the Fallout series, and the Grand Theft Auto games) M.

I find most efforts to make "mature" games to be utterly laughable tripe best consumed by teenage boys who don't know what real "mature" is...and my E for Everyone games to be the most reliably fun.

People stopped playing T-rated games because:
1)they had to go to work/school/church.
2)they had to give their consoles/PCs time to cool down.
3)they wanted to play a different game for a while.
4)they wanted to read a book.
5)they felt like taking a walk.
6)they fancied eating a real cake (not a urinal cake!).
7)their houses were on fire.
8)they had to sell them to avoid losing the game of Life. You've got to have credit to play!
9)they can't play with broken controllers.
10)they lost a game with Death over Xbox Live?

Wait, is Final Fantasy XIII going to be M-rated in the US now? That's what you're hinting at, isn't it?

Some T rated games limit their content to much. Example: Mercenaries 2 made it so that all civilians were invincable so they could have a T rating. It was something that I didn't feel had any reason.

1.not enough blood.
2.No bad language.
3.Way to easy
Example: i'm playing dark void on "hardcore" mode and i've only died once because i thought Melee was going to be good.instead i got curb-stomped by Robots. After i got the basics down i had to go up agoinst 2 robots with rocket firing eyes.once again no deaths.
You must first prove that the problem exists before giving causes.

I buy games no matter what their rating is... if it's fun it's fun. M rated games seem to be like R rated movies, because they don't hold back. T rated games have to be under a lot of restrictions so they can't do everything the designer wanted.

How does being rated T have anything to do with game difficulty?
That's like saying that ice cream causes drownings.
I'm pretty sure you could drown if shoved down this:

I'm playing a T-rated game that I grabbed at midnight. At least I will continue playing it when the server goes back up.

well the real disscuion here is if difficulty levels of rated T games have declined over time.they don't really need foul language or blood&gore but still the random distraction of somethings head exploding can really make a game more difficullt by even a little bit
How does head explosions make games more distracting or difficult? I don't remember encountering a sudden difficulty spike in Fallout 3 when I got the bloody mess perk. Maybe if you played the game specifically for that gore, then I might understand the distraction factor.

Anyway, it's more like the decline of difficulty of all games rather than just ones rated T.
so you saying when a head explodes you don't look at it for a quick moment before killing the next 1?
No.
I look at the next thing I am going to kill.
Why?
BECAUSE THAT THING IS PROBABLY GOING TO KILL ME!
And I also am not easily distracted.

I realized recently that nearly every single one of my games is rated M. I remember the good old days, when my parents were afraid to purchase Jak 2 for me and I felt badass for reading one of the lines on the back of the box.
"He's mad as hell, and he's out for revenge."

I had the same exact experience

developers don't try and make games M like some one said, the lower the rating the broader the audience. Uncharted 2 seemed like an M game considering games like the oblivion expansions and assassins creed are M, but I'm sure that they considered the right amount of censorship to keep it from being a "flash your license game". also i did'nt play M games when i was'nt old enough, but back then there were far fewer M blockbusters.

I actually think this has potential for discussion. My opinion is that game developers are either making kid friendly games to appeal to that demographic, or hardcore games which generally fall under the m rating for gore. The only people that bought T games were kids that weren't old enough for M games and wanted to still convince themselves that what they were playing was "bad-ass" and "edgy". I think this demographic has been dramatically changed. Just look at the Wii. You have Wii Sports in one hand and MadWorld in the other. Where's the middle ground?

I generally find good M games to be more common on the X-box however there are quite a few good T games I really hate people who have opinions like the OP "0mG d3r3 iz n0 bl00d, d1s g4m3 1z 4 k1nd3rg47n3rz 4nd su4ckz!!11!1!!1 l0l!" Get the fuck over it, there doesn't have to constantly be blood streaming all over the place, I really really hate those people who base their opinion on weather or not a game is good on the violence. But back to my reason in this current generation I will agree the quality for T games on X-box is going down.
