Okay, let's see...

1. It requires at least one connection within every 24 hours to the internet. That is nearly as bad. People whose power or internet is knocked out for long periods due to things beyond their control are screwed. The console should work for the gamer, not the other way around. So much for consoles being gaming machines without the hassle of a PC.
Im sorry but if my power is knocked out for a long period of time that last thing I will be worried about is that I cant play my xbox because of no internet.
Missing the point, there is absolutely no reason for it to be this way. Almost-Always-Online is utterly unnecessary.
Oh I understood your point perfectly I was just making fun of the wording you chose in your post.

IMO the more qualified an answer is, the less im going to like. Seriously wtf does "infinite power of the cloud" even mean? The infinite power of the cloud in SimCity means I cant have local saves. If a company cant come out a say "of course you can play used games", then it probably isnt something I'm interested in buying. The fact this warrants "more details later" is a deal breaker for me. I dont have the time in my day to deal with bullshit meta games to figure out how to make something I buy work.

I understand there may be good things about it once the PR team stops talking, but I'm still not supporting them for a few reasons with the biggest being how they're screwing over indies. Not allowing indies to self publish (while it does weed out a lot of shit) makes the barrier of entry far too high. Look what it did to Romino for awesomenauts. The reason they can't put any more updates on consoles is because they couldn't self publish and their publisher can't afford it! Nintendo and Sony are allowing it this time around, so why is Microsoft keeping the restrictions in place?

The reason why you should be worried about the xbox one is because it seems Microsoft has gone insane. It seems quite obvious after the presentation of the Xbox one and Win 8 that microsoft is trying to move away from "geeks" (the word "geek" being used very losely here). First we have an OS obviously designed for tablets and than a gaming console which prides itself for allowing you to watch TV... That's like an MMO being proud of offering a Single Player game mode.

Microsoft noticed how much non-geek consumers were attracted by Apple and Nintendo and than went on this crazy idea that the best way to make more money was to try and steal those consumers at the cost of the consumers which remained faithful to them.

I'll miss you, Xbox. We had a good run, you and I. I like that you'd let me keep my gamertag, but it's useless since everything else you've shown me has turned me away. I'll be taking the first train to Sony Town. If it makes you feel any better, I'll be keeping my 360 for all the games you don't care about anymore.

Ill be frank here, I don't like much of what I saw in the presentation, but I'll play devils advocate here for a few minutes. It seems like on the hardware end they seem to have taken alot of complaints to heart, and apparently theres going to be FIFTEEN first party titles lined up for launch (and shown at E3). If the majority aren't Kinect titles, they may avoid the long gaming wasteland that happened after the launch back in '05.
15 exclusives, that was big talk yeah. But then there was a lot of this EA sports talk...

NHL 14
FIFA 14
NBA 14
MLB 14
Madden NFL 14
NCAA 14
Tiger Woods 14

Whee, we're already almost halfway there!

Oh, 8 of them are going to be new franchises they said? Well, sure, just mix some volleyball and tennis in there as well. And of course there's the next CoD there as well, so another slot taken.

In other words, it's quite possible to be technically telling the truth about the 15 exclusive titles, 8 of which are new franchises, and still bring nothing worthy of notice to the table, and I do not for a moment believe anymore that the industry will go for anything better than the worst they can get away with.
Ummmm I don't think "exclusive" means what you think it means. That being said, they have to back up their big talk.

Yeah...

Those certainly were some selective quotes you chose, OP.

A better quote:
Q: Why require Kinect with every Xbox One?
A: The all new Kinect is now an essential and integrated part of the platform. By having it as a consistent part of every Xbox One, game and entertainment creators can build experiences that assume the availability of voice, gesture and natural sensing, leading to unrivaled ease of use, premium experiences and interactivity for you.
Right, so I wonder if the Xbone will work if I unplugged Kinect? Because that'll be the first thing I check for before even considering buying one.
That in and of itself is a game-breaker for me. I don't have anywhere to put a Kinect. My Xbox is on the floor next to my TV in my bedroom, and the TV is on a dresser. There's no room for me to put a Kinect and I am not going out to buy a separate stand that will watch me jerking off while playing Call of Battlefront's Halo: Big Explosions and Tits 5.
Kinect is the ONLY dealbreaker for me. I don't care about used games. I don't care about "always on". I don't care about no backwards compatibility.

But if the Kinect is even a little mandatory, then I'm skipping the Xbox One.
