Friday was terrible, but it also memorable, catchy and interesting to listen to, this ones just boring and forgettable. In Rebbecca's case, slightly better is a hell of allot worse.

Spoiler: Prepare for rant...

The first lyric alone got to me.

"Weren't you the one who said that I would be nothing, well I'm about to prove you wrong"

It's so pretentious and meant to sound like she's bringing something thoughtful and fulfilling to the industry when it's still just generic lyrics with generic music. The whole song sounds like a "Fuck you" to those who didn't like friday and she just can't accept that it just wasn't a good song. The melody was annoying the auto tune was shit and the lyrics made me want to punch something. I realize art is subjective but if it's that widely hated then your probably doing something wrong.

But instead of learning from her mistakes, she blames it all on everyone else and writes another generic song that just so uninteresting. Her first song was annoying, this is generic to the point it seems formulated by some company. She should either do something original or stop writing music but we know neither of these will happen cause that's the world we live in. She has done nothing to deserve the fame and money she's earned and that is very frustrating that the world allows that.

This new song does nothing to change my mind about her, in fact I think it's even worse. At first I thought she was a lucky girl who got one chance and screwed She's still annoying, shallow and her music is uninspired, bland and just not good. She's just an industry puppet, nothing more and she'll be forgotten by our collective memories soon enough, definitely for the better.

My only hope is System of a Down writes a new album as a sort of "HEY! THERE'S GOOD MUSIC IN THE WORLD, REMEMBER!"
