I agree wholeheartedly with you, man. People, as a rule, will misinterpret whatever someone says in order to make it looks like they've got the upper hand. Take this - you're politely asking people like Abedeus to refrain from posting negative opinions repeatedly, and people are deliberately misinterpreting it as "You can't have an opinion unless it's positive!"CaptainCrunch said:What does that bring the count to? Five or six now, that think the staff come to video threads just to lay some smack down on opinions they don't like? And that the reason they have these opinions is to protect the brands?JimmyBassatti said:No offense, I'm on no one's side, but Captain Crunch, you do seem to be digging yourself a deeper hole. I mean, she's not good. So what? As someone else said, the only reason people like her is because she is a girl...

To reiterate, as plainly as I possibly can:
Having a negative <color=blue>OPINION is different than having a negative <color=maroon>ATTITUDE. I don't think anyone, staff or otherwise will tell you that you can't express a negative opinion here. We wouldn't have negative reviews available for our readers / viewers if that were the case. Stating that you don't like something is perfectly acceptable, so long as you don't express it in a way that is meant to be hurtful, demeaning, or otherwise uncivilized.
It may appear as though we are trying to protect the feelings of Ms. Mayes, but in reality it's more of a peacekeeping action. Think of it as a signal that we're watching extra close for flames and trolls, because there are those who choose to express their negative opinion in a way that does nothing to contribute to the discussion other than start a chain of bile-spewing. If you're ever unsure whether you are about to post something that reflects a negative attitude, odds are you probably shouldn't post it.
Let's use: "people only like it because she's a girl" as an example. What does that have to do with what you saw in the video, rather than the person that made it? Moreso, what does it bring to the conversation, beyond a generalization with a negative attitude?
All that's being asked is that if you don't like something, and you feel you absolutely have to tell us about it, that you do so in a polite, constructive manner that allows for ideas for improvement - not just posting to say "It's still not good enough" in every post the creator makes. It's like that guy that trolls through iPhone threads to talk about how much he hates them.
I mean, seriously - does it really help anyone? Does coming into every. single. post that someone makes and shitting on them really make sure they improve? It's simple - if the first two or three videos don't impress you, and you've provided constructive criticism with solid feedback on why you don't like what you see, and what the creator might do to improve it, and there is still no improvement to your opinion then stop watching them!
I thought relatively little of de-rez when it came out, and I provided my feedback on what could be improved, and it did not improve to my opinion - so I stopped watching! Amazing.
On topic of the video, I so happen to enjoy these songs. I'm glad to see that the song has changed up a bit, too! As an amateur song writer, I find it too easy to fall into familiar and favourite rhythms and tunes, so I know how easy it is to use favourites on occasion.
I would like to hear some more upbeat stuff, though!
