"Apology accepted, he is a strain to deal with. He never takes his work seriously, which makes me want to tare his skull in two somedays..." She heard Andrew speaking in Japanese and paused for a moment. She walked closer to him, just in hearing distance, and replied back with Japanese herself. "[Every single thing, for now at least. That is Master's orders, however odd they are, and I must obey them. We do good work here Rodriguez Andrew. We do not talk again till you finish your first mission. Also work on your Japanese.] She walked over to look at the weapons then turned around. "I presume you are all ready? If so, report back to Engineer so he can take you to your first mission." After finishing, the recruits went back to Engineer. Who took them on a Helicopter that was strangely larger then a normal one.

11:50 AM, somewhere in North America
"Alright, we're here." Engineer said, lowering the Helicopter. Outside it was as if it was night, with only a little light coming from the Helicopter, but the recruits could make out they were in the middle of a forest. What was even stranger was that in the middle of the forest, there was a huge castle coming out of the ground, completely out of place with it's surroundings. Engineer got out and opened the door from the outside for the recruits. He had with him a large bag, which he dropped on the floor. "If you came with gear, it's in there. Also..." He passed each of the recruits a small white thing. "Put that in you ear, you can communicate we each other and the other Hunters with that. Just press it and talk to talk to the whole group. You're gonna need to communicate or you will die." He got into the Helicopter. "Just say if you need me, as I said before I'll provide air support. Though it may not be much use for now... I suggest you head to the castle." After the recruits got off he flew up and began circling the area.

If Engineer had started to give Alexis doubts about what she'd gotten herself into, what she'd witnessed since had confirmed and reinforced them several times over. While Engineer unnerved her, Keeper scared her. Never mind Engineer, with a temper like that, she couldn't see how Keeper would ever be easy to work with. Just to make matters even worse, she was being thrown straight into a potentially extremely dangerous scenario, with little information than a bunch of myths and legends, with a group of other recruits she didn't know the first thing about, other than at least one having a massive chip on his shoulder. If she'd felt alone and isolated when they'd first arrived at the base, she felt even worse now.
"Still," she thought grimly to herself, "at least Keeper has shown that if worst comes to worst, there's a pretty reliable way out." She regretted the thought as soon as she'd had it, although stopped short of dismissing it entirely.

Pushing her situation to the back of her mind, Alexis tried to focus on the task at hand. If nothing else, these people at least provided some nice equipment for her to use. She'd felt a little shiver of excitement as she'd looked over the rifles, eventually going for a model with a scope at least twice as powerful as anything she'd used in the past. Shifting the strap of her rifle over her shoulder slightly, she studied the forest as the helicopter rose away from them. This was something she felt more at home with, even if the targets were something she'd never really believed in. She recovered the few things she'd brought from the bag and fitted the small white device to her ear, before giving her rifle a final check. She was about as ready as she felt she was ever going to be right now.

Edgar watched as the helicopter lifted back into the air before studying his surroundings,it certainly wasn't a major holiday destination. He strolled over to the bag dropped by the Engineer and rummaged inside, he smiled slightly as he felt the barrel on an M79. He yanked it out as well as a few shells and loaded it. He briefly checked the "Garlic grenades" we firmly attached to his belt before nodding to himself. He was ready.

Surveying the forest brought a calming nostalgia to Reece's senses. He picked out his handgun and the magazines of silver bullets, loading the gun and checking it from every angle in an attempt to emulate the professionals. He ultimately failed, and resumed staring at the trees. His eyes were drawn to the shadowy castle, leeching his attention and composure like the Vampire they were hunting. He pressed his ear, "Testing, testing, one two three! All hands on deck for... um... you guys fill that part in. Can you hear me?"

"Hello, all good down there?" Engineer's voice went, replying to Reece. "Remember to expect the unexpected, there isn't just one thing down there... A certain person should be meeting you any moment." Another voice appeared, it has a thick Romanian accent. "Hello, this is Vlad. Where are you? I am outside the castle entrance, but am getting bored quickly, so I suggest you hurry up. I get grumpy when bored." Engineer's voice came back. "I suggest you meet him quickly, he'll be hiding at first so just wait a bit and he'll show himself. He'll inform you better then what we did, seen as we know less then him."

"Y'know, this is turning into the start of a really cliché novel... Vlad? Seriously?" Reece spoke before he realised that Vlad was listening in on the communications, too, "Er, not that there's anything wrong with Vlad. Just that it's... predictable. Are we in Transylvania, by any chance?"
The trees bristled, disturbed by some unnatural presence emanating from the castle. Reece gulped, and looked to the other Hunters. "You mind if I stick with one of you aces for this mission? I'm... not exactly partial to dying young, if you catch my drift."

Edgar smiled a little at the young man who had spoken, a young guy afraid to die, that took him back. He seemed reasonable enough, if a little mouthy. He strolled over to him.

"Sure, stick close to me and you should be alright, just don't get in front of my shots" He tapped his M79 for more emphasis.

"It wont end well for either off us"

He turned to the rest of the hunters and beckoned, then turned on his heel and started marching towards the castle.

If she was being particularly kind, eccentric would be the description Alexis would have given everyone she'd met so far. This 'Vlad' didn't sound like he was about to buck that trend to any great degree. A thought struck her that it was possible this was all some elaborate ploy, though to what end she couldn't begin to guess. She was having a hard time believing all the talk about vampires and werewolves. Still, something was off about this forest, other than the castle that stuck out like an icicle in a volcano. She started after Edgar, keeping her eyes and ears focused on the surroundings.

Andrew had pretty much kept quiet since the group's 'briefing', something that was somewhat out of character for him. Still, he had a lot to think about, Kusabana's words in particular.

But he didn't have time to think about those things for now, he had other worries at this time. It was really the attitudes and load-outs of the other 'new guys' that cemented that in his mind. Andrew had ended up only taking the revolver and a few moon clips as well as the special grenade. The gun was a bit bigger and larger caliber then what he was used to, but when the watch word was 'expect the unexpected' he decided a slightly bigger gun wouldn't be amiss. For a bit he had considered something even larger or semi-automatic, but Andrew had always considered the simplicity of the design to bring a certain level of reliability that he could count on, and for the moment he wanted to stick with what he was comfortable with.

Andrew had also had his own gun returned to him, which was nice he supposed. Strangely though, he had also had his pendent and walking stick returned to him though he had never thought of those as equipment, it was just a bit odd. Without a proper holster though the guns now rested in the large pockets of Andrew's coat. His staff was held lightly in his left hand, his right empty for possible action.

Andrew fiddled about with the communicator in his ear for a moment as he fell in behind the others. The uncomfortable presence was another thing he was unused too, but he wasn't nearly stupid enough to take it out. Andrew kept a sharp eye out as he followed along.

"Well, I guess we had better get to... The Castle." He said, slightly disappointed that no dramatic thunder occurred during his pause.

Reece adhered to Edgar's advice and resembled something of a shadow to him as he moved, walking where he went and looking around at all times for threats - although the form these supposed threats were going to take, he didn't know. He felt strangely out of place, and decided to rummage in his pockets with one hand. A smile touched his face when he found the object he was after - a small, slightly battered MP3 player. He hooked one headphone in his free ear and clicked it on, relishing in the burst of music that followed. He looked around again, significantly calmer, and smiled at Alexis, the Hunter closest to them.

Soul grabbed one of the white things into his ear and making sure it was linked to the others signals. He didn't say anything however, but he grabbed his sword from out of the bag and tied it to his side, feeling the comfortable weight of it again. He let out a small smile, his blood red eyes glinting darkly, Soul didn't seem to act upon it. He looked out into the forest, listening for anything that might be coming his way, but he couldn't hear anything over everyone talking.

"Boo." Went a voice, coming from behind Soul. Behind Soul was a man wearing a black cloak, concealing his face. "I am Vlad, I am hear to tell you what you are facing." He stepped into the shadows, disappearing into them. "I am also supposed to prove something to you, according to The Dungeon Master. Good friends we are, I am happy to oblige his requests." He re-appeared, jumping down from a tree above the group. "I am a Vampire. More of, THE Vampire. My name is Vlad Dracula, known to some as Vlad the Impaler. I am allot nicer then they make me sound though, I promise!"

Soul didn't even jump when Vlad called out behind him, he did however reach for his sword before realizing that this man wasn't who he was supposed to be killing. It took a few seconds for him to regain composure before turning to look at Vlad. He didn't say a word, but it was clear he wanted to know what was going on and why they were left in the middle of nowhere.

"A man of little words I see, huh?" Vlad removed his hood to show his surprisingly young-looking face. "I suppose you want to know why you're here. Perhaps I should give a little backstory, no?" He pointed at the castle. "A century ago I sealed my son inside that castle and sent it into the unending black void. My son had committed several evil acts that I could not ignore, as it threatened to show our race's existence and thus probably end with us dead or at least hunted. Now, for reasons I cannot explain, he and the castle has returned and I fear he will break the seal. Unfortunately, the seal works so that I myself cannot enter the castle so I must ask you to go in for me instead. Also, I sensed that a powerful Werewolf entered the castle not too long ago which may have something to do with it, which disturbs me greatly. I want you to go in there and see if you can defeat him, as if he managed to break he and the castle out then he will be weakened, and find what the Werewolf wants. This will likely be the only chance to permanently kill him and remove an evil from this world." He showed no emotion in his voice, apparently uncaring for his son.

Reece stared at Vlad for a moment, then smiled. "Pleasure to meet'cha, Vlad the Vamp. Must be pretty tough to kill your own son. Any advice you can give someone absolutely new to this kind of thing?"
He looked to the castle, fingers clamped tightly around his gun. "Killing your kid, and killing a big, bad wolf... Not something I'm exactly used to. Any pointers would be real helpful."

Soul nodded, and started walking towards the castle in the distance. All he needed to know was that he was to hunt a werewolf and a vampire who strayed a little to far from his path, he didn't need to read anything more than that. He wasn't going to use special guns or ammunition for this mission, all he needed was his sword and a place to hunt. He began to think of a strategy to kill off these two creatures while making sure the others remained out of his way as much as possible.

"I'm going on ahead, come when you feel ready." Soul said in a dark voice over the comm. He didn't wait for a response, he just pushed on towards the castle.

Vlad shrugged. "I have no feelings in regard to killing a monster, for that is what he became. He fed on every human he saw, leaving behind overwhelming evidence and that is the least of what he did. I will not, cannot forgive him for what he has done. As for pointers? Don't die." He said it as though it was proper advice. "Also, he is extremely powerful as the son of the leader of the vampires. Expect him to do things which can be viewed as... How can I put it... Batshit insane? If you'll excuse the pun."

"Heh. Batshit. I see what you did there," Reece sighed. The sword-wielding Hunter was already steps ahead of them, and he was loathe to get left behind. He started walking...
Then froze. "Uh... Y'know what, I'm just gonna keep watch outside. For, um, rogue bats and stuff. Hunting monsters isn't exactly what I signed up for - then again, never really signed up for anything. You aces can go on and deal with batshit crazy Vlad Juniour. I'm gonna... do somethin' else, and stay off of your toes," He pressed his ear, looking to the sky unnecessarily, "That okay with you, monkey wrench in the sky?"

Engineer replied. "Well, if you want to be killed by The Hunters sure! You know we can't let you go after knowing all this, right? Protocol, sorry."

The entrance was a grand hallway, with candles lighting the way forward along a carpet. At the end stair rose to a door and a balcony. On the balcony stood an aged man in a suit, he had white hair and was looking at a pocket watch. "You are later then I expected." He put the pocket watch away and jumped up off the balcony, landing gracefully. "I am Valkenhayn R. Hellsing, prepare to die." He charged forward, pulling his arm back ready to punch Soul. He suddenly disappeared, the appeared behind Soul back-to-back again holding his pocket watch. "Are you afraid to die?" He disappeared again and reappeared back in front of Soul in his previous position, now punching Soul in the face.

Reece sighed, and reluctantly looked to Edgar. "Looks like I'm stuck with you, then... Unless we're lucky enough to only have to deal with wolfie. Sword-guy didn't look like the type to play with a team. I just wanna go home, so let's go."
He tensed his gun-hand, and accidentally fired into the soil. He jumped back with a yelp, glad that he hadn't shot his foot but at the same time petrified by the huge, resounding shout the handgun made.
