I believe star craft 2 is a good reboot? Now that someone mentioned it banjo and kazooie nuts and bolts was a good reboot especially play the game now it's aged pretty badly and it's controls are a mess and it's really just collecting and running around with time limits and funny lines. At least the vehicle creation system made it genuinely different from all the other platforms.

What went wrong Spyro? You were so great once upon a time. Now look! Owned by Activision and basically putting your whole financial success on how much your new fanbase of 5 year old kids bug Mum and Dad to buy relevant toys.

Ugh...I'm going to get Gateway to Glimmer on the PS1 now and drown my sorrows and relive my childhood...Those were the days...(sigh)

But... but... my childhood... Right in my goddamn childhood! Harder than any rule 34 has ever struck me. At least they look like the damn thing they're supposed to be.
That's not Spyro. That's not the lovable little dragon I grew up with as a kid. That's some abomination, some horrible monster that has slain the real Spyro, and now drapes his skin over its hideous form. And yet it cannot truly hide itself.

Yeah, that's just bad.

OH DEAR SWEET *Insert deity here*! What have they done to Spyro?! My childhood! It is dying...

WHY!? WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN!?

OT:I can't think of a good game reboot.

Ok, finished vomiting at the image in the OP, now for serious business

Bionic Commando: Rearmed is supposed to be very good, never played it myself, and the sequel is supposedly better.

Punch-Out!! on the wii is technically a reboot, and it pretty much changes nothing from the originals but looks awesome and is generally a really good game.

I also personally enjoyed Crash of the Titans a lot.

Also, look up Space Invaders: Infinity Gene. They basically turn the classic arcade game into an awesome, slightly trippy, but also slightly awesome bullet-hell type shooter

THE CONCEPT that is behind this is really cool using interactive action figure with an RPG system... or something of the like. Is awesome. Why though did they have to do it to Spyro
(gameplay and game concept already perfect) and more importantly why did they have to make Spyro look like someone beat him with a shovel?!

I've got it! Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was a great reboot of the Prince of Persia game series! Ha! Reboot found. That said reboots need to stop, you ruined your franchise, DEAL WITH IT!

That is not Spyro, it is a winged purple troll creature.

As for good reboots... honestly? The only reboot I've played is (ironically) the Legend of Spyro series, and it wasn't half bad. It may be because it felt good to go back to dragons as the main cast instead of skateboards and half a dozen other characters who were annoying as hell to play, and it improved steadily over the three games. Yes, the plot was rather worn and not executed as good as it could have been, but they were fun and still held the Spyro spirit. And this is coming from someone who has been with Spyro since the very first game.

Eurgh, what console is that game running on? Also, why did they suddenly feel the need to give the lead character an extra chromosome [I have nothing against Down's Syndrome sufferers, by the way. It's just that Spyro has a very distinct resemblance to that particular condition in that screenshot]?

I know hes ugly, but the game might still be good, I wouldn't right it off just yet.

The New Mortal Kombat looks set to be a good reboot!
