I already have No one lives forever one and two and those games are awesome. I'm thinking Baldur's Gate 2 or thw Witcher. I can only get one because I need to save up for New Vegas. Ah decisions, decisions

The unreal anthology. Comes with unreal, return to na pali, unreal tournament, unreal 2(although its not as good as the first IMO), and unreal tournament 2004.

You know to mix it up a bit, shoot things with the good old flack cannon and the unreal franchise has always had a rabid modding community. I would also say get ut3 but its kinda dead and hard to get into and most ut3 mods have been ported to the UDK.

You don't like games like Fallout or Oblivion. You like Morrowind. ...
Yes to what this wonderful user said. Morrowind is the standard to which I compare all games I play--I went back and played it last year and it was still just as good as it ever had been.

If you want even older games, Baldur's Gate II and Ascendancy were delightful. I spent many an hour with those back in the day.

I'm looking to buy a good PC game, I like games like fallout or oblivion. Games that have a good modding community. I already own both of those so don't recommend me those but what game do you think I should buy.
ARMA II and its expansion.

Morrowind!
Kidding. In all seriousness, it really depends on how recent you want the game to be. NWN, the first (at least) is a good game with a good community. The Witcher doesn't have as vibrant a community, but it is a very good RPG with an interesting setting.

Mass Effect is good too, but the 1st one is more of an RPG than the second. Again, not modded, but a somewhat open RPG with character development.

You could also look into the Gothic series, or Risen.

I'm not sure what is higher priority to you, modding community or gameplay/game type. It'd help a lot if you specified this better.
hmmmm what is never winter nights like?
Badass, especially with LAN.
wait what? NWN doesn't have LAN, i tried lan with a copy and it gave me some account bullshit.
No, you have to use a bullshit LAN account. It's effectively internet but LAN. Whats important is that it is the basis for local social interaction (LSI). Luckily, there is no bullshit LSI account.

I'd recommend looking at some indie titles as well as the bigger games. I particulary like Introversion Software. Darwinia is an amasing game.

If your PC can handle it, Nehrim. It's a total conversion mod for Oblivion which means it's totally free but it's just like playing the next installment of the Elder Scrolls series, except for the fact that it's in its own world. It improves upon many aspects of Oblivion so if you liked Oblivion I'd say you should defenitly check it out.

FATE: The Traitor Soul

It's a bit repetitive when it comes to questing, but it's fun, and there is a great modding community on the forum for it.

Perhaps you should try some of the more serious free games?

League of Legends and Alien Swarm are really good games, and free. ^^

Well I still own Morrowind so I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it again, ehh maybe I could get used to the combat. I'll play it monday because I have no school. :)
I already have system shock 1 and 2 and I agree SS2 was great.
Also I ordered the Witcher from amazon, so that can hold me over til Fallout, and then goodbye to my social life.
