Reccomend me scary games for my Halloween party!

So far I'm considering: Fear 1, Condemned, Silent Hill 2, Deadly Premonition, and possibly Fatal Frame.

Condemned Multiplayer. Especially the mode where one person plays a killer.

They don't need to be multiplayer, right? I can't think of any co-op horror games.

Fatal Frame is one of the most terrifying experienced you will ever have. My cousin and I play a scary game every Halloween, and this was one we played. To this day it haunts us like nothing else ever has. Ever.

I agree Fatal Frame (or project zero depending on where you are) the original one is probably the scariest game I have played. I really struggled to play it when it came out as it was so tense, however I actually fired it up again this year to give it another go and it didnt scare me at all but I dont think that is down to the game rather than just me getting older, still it is the only game to ever scare me so it gets my vote.

There is also eternal darkness sanitys requiem I am not sure if it is scary as I have never played it (hoping to find a copy somewhere) but some people say its pretty good.

Resident Evil 4 isn't exceptionally scary but it is REALLY GOOD. No seriously get Resident Evil 4. There's a digital HD version out on the Xbox 360 and PS3 stores so check it out. Also there's enough insane bullshit to allow for jokes and fun with friends.

Silent Hill. You have a PS3, go to the PSN store, buy it for $5, and play it. Now. Even with 12 year-old graphics, few games will scare you quite like it.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Penumbra Overture, Condemned, Doom 3(to some extent), F.E.A.R, Sillent Hill 2, Dino Crisis 1(a cookie to anyone who heard of that game) Resident Evil 1 (remake), actually any Resident Evil except, 5 (not saying that 5 isnt awesome it is, still of my favourite games ever, but, its more action than horror/scary)

Condemned (brutal homelessness and drug addict looking people hits pretty close to home)

Siren Blood Curse (ps3 really good. I recommend it because you can play it on the TV, scary, mission based, and scary. Your friends will love it and it will make you popular with all the ladies!)

Manhunt 1&2. Not exactly a horror game, but pretty dark and brutal. Its all about MURDER


Can play multiple freeware horror games, call it Horror Variety Hour!

Like the Twin Peaks game (probably scarier if youve watched the show)

Amnesia! Amnesia! I can't play for that 15 minutes of it without freaking out. So turn out the lights and play that and you'll shit yourself in no time.

I also found a browser game called Caverns of Blood that creeped me out... there's some reading involved, but I think it's worth it.

If you like gory stuff, then I'd say... Naughty Bear. Dumb, teddy bear murdering, stealthy fun.

Or if you want to pussyfoot it like me, then... Luigi's Mansion the the dark is kinda fun.

COndemned 2- Scary as all hell
The Pit DLC- Fallout 3- I have NEVER BEEN MORE SCARED IN MY whole life by this DLC and i have played deadspace and amnesia. Ramp up the diffculty a bit and make it so you cant leave unless you find all 100 ingots. you will cry

The scariest game I have ever played was the original Alone in the Dark from the 90's.

The character models were done before the use of actors and sensors, and as such they have that slightly disturbing 'not quite right' movement about them, which actually helps play on your mind along with everything else going on in the game. You can pick it up very cheaply these days from GoG.

Halo reach....wait for it. Play it on two screen and keep telling the other player that you keep seeing something that's not a regular enemy. Keep pretending to see it and by the end of the night you will have them seriously freaked.
