So I'm bored and would like an MMO. Rather then listing games that I enjoyed so you can try and guess what I would like, I am simply going to ask if there is a free MMO that you like and why you like it?

Rift has a free 7 day trial.
Also Last Chaos and Silk Road Online weren't too bad.

Dungeon Fighter Online is pretty sweet. I like it because the fighting is fun with stringing together combos.

Only free MMO I can think of is Runescape, My friend is addicted to this game but I was very underwhelmed but that might just be because of my hate of MMORPG's.

Does LoL (League of Legends) count? I love LoL. I play Sona. Understated. Easily one of my favorite champions.

Runes of Magic is one of the good free ones,Vindictus(US only for now..still waiting on the EU one),League of Legends(awesome dota'esque game, recommend it),Loong(decent asian style mmorpg) as well as Blade and Soul(similar to Loong).

PS: HoN is not free. You have to buy the game.I think our OP wants something he can get without paying a cent.

DDO has one of the best character building systems in any MMO, free or not, that I've seen, and the gameplay is really fun too.

However, if I could only play one MMO, I'd play Lord Of The Rings Online. Its fellowship system and classes are some of the most fun to play in any mmo, and I've not seen a better atmosphere in any mmo ('atmosphere' being music, visuals, and community. Seriously, the game is a great world to be in, and MANY people have classes it higher than WoW for quality).

So, yeah. Look up LOTRO, and if not that, DDO.

Perfect World was the first MMO I ever played and I thought it was pretty damn good. 'Course I was just happy that one of the races enables you to fly from level 1.

Dream of Mirror Online (DOMO) has a fun class system.
Shin Megami Tensai Imagine (Megaten) is a rather unique and fun MMO.
Grenado Espada is also very unique with its character system.
A couple others are 2Moons, 9Dragons, Dynasty Warriors online, Runes of magic, and Rappelz, to name a few (MMOs are kinda my gaming speciality, especially free ones).
The first two can also be tried with the same game account, as they are both run by Aeria Games.
