Try that list.

Or I could go find my "games you're looking forward to in 2009" post, but I don't feel like it.

Or maybe you should just go play SupCom, or laugh at people who say torchlight rips off Diablo when the game is just Diablo with a better interface, made by the same people who made the first 2 games.

I would also like to recommend Thief: Deadly Shadows. Though you'll be a bit out of the loop if you aren't familiar with the story of Theifs 1 and 2, that could be remedied by reading synopses online somewhere. The gameplay leaves a little to be desired when compared to Metal Gear Solid, but it is most certainly competent, and the story is excellent.

And the protagonist is one of the better ones in gaming.

Prince of Persia was awesome wtf. It was like assassins creed but with more jumping and less waiting.

Have you played Penumbra? 's pretty awesome.

I disagree with a few points in your list. Borderlands was amazing. Sure the RPG elements were weak but it's still enough to keep the gun play form getting boring, and Bioshock was nothing but a frantic hunt for healing items. Sure combat was fun for the two times I actually had enough life to play a complete fight.

Anyway, back on topic I suggest another run through of Borderlands, maybe a different character (Who did you play as? I loved the Hunter but hated the Siren) and Fallout 3, which is my favorite game ever just in front of (you guessed it) Borderlands.

I think he tried and disliked. He's probably right due to things like: repetitive fetch quests, predictable AI and lack of many enemy types. I didn't really like Broderlands either. It's pretty much a one trick pony.

OP: Have you tried Valkyria Chronicles?
Yes, I have played Valkyria Chronicles aswell. Great storytelling, but it was as frustrating as Borderlands was. And, ... yeah I don't mind fetch quests and WoW-like gameplay. But I expected so much bigger and better from that game.

You want to play a good game and you deny the greatness of Borderlands, Gta4 and Mirrors edge.
There is nothing better.
There is something called... what was it? Ah yes, OPINION. Ever heard of it?
You know that my opinion was just that there wore no greater games than those 3.

Sure have, but you don't seem to grasp the meaning of it.
Apparently, neither do you. He stated his opinion, just as you did.

OT: Killing Floor, Company of Heroes (since you liked DoW 2), World of Goo, Plants vs Zombies, Trine, and STALKER I can recommend just from glancing over my Steam list.
I played Killing Floor before, so repetitive. I tried Company of Heroes and I thought it was a mighty boring game. Dawn of War is so much more... intense, just like World in Conflict. World of Goo is a nice game, not the best, but nice, so was Trine. I don't know why so many people like Stalker but... everyone's opinion I guess.

Mass Effect is a great game, it has it flaws don't get me wrong but its very fun and pretty easy to break and turn you into a god amongst aliens.
If you own a Gameboy Advance/DS please get Advance Wars 2; its IMO the best title in the series so far and I can honestly say that I had more fun with it than 90% of the game I played in the last 10 years.

Dead Rising.

If you have a decent TV.

If you're playing on a 20" standard def set then... nevermind.
Dang, I don't have an X360.
Really? Crap, I was going to say "Saints Row 2", but that's just my favorite.....

....
....
Yes, I know it's a GTA knockoff but bleh to all of you, it's a fricking fun game and despite playing it for four months (not 4 monthes straight, but on and off again), I still find new crap to laugh at, even if it's watching a guy suddenly fall from the sky or seeing how a plane crashes into a building at high speeds.

Hey, I own Saints Row 2 on the PS3 and I thought it was so much more fun than GTA IV, thank you Yahtzee for that great review!

Neverwinter Nights is always a winner.

And if you're looking for a really good game, and are wiling to overlook the cutesyness and plain french weirdness then the Little Big Adventure series is a necessity.

Although I warn you now that the Temple of Bu in the first one is nigh-on fucking impossible.

Time Commando, also by Adeline software, is also a really good game, but these games are old as the hills now. LBA 2 is like 11 years old by this stage.

Haved you tried Fall Out 3? That is one of my favorites.
It isn't called "Fall Out 3", it's called "Fallout 3".
The older Fallout games are better. So very much better.
I was wondering why it looked so fucked up
