Pumpkinhead and The Dead Hate The Living - both very low budget and yet both still strangely compelling.

I'm going to watch that crappy low budget sky horror channel now- thanks!

The Descent is a pretty good recent horror film.

The Thing is a horror classic as is Alien. But you have probably seen both atleast twice.

For something out there that hasn't been suggested yet - Arachnophobia.

"But wait!" I hear you say "Arachnophobia's a Horror/Comedy!".

...To be blunt, after watching the movie again (and comparing it with another Spider related Horror/Comedy, Eight Legged Freaks (yes I am aware the two do have a lot of differences)), I hate to say it folks but Arachnophobia focuses more on the Horror than the Comedy department - thus, it's more of a Horror movie than a Comedy.

Have fun sleeping after watching this movie folks - especially the Arachnophobic. You may want to have a soft teddy or something on standby to squeeze for some scenes.

Jesus Camp.

A completely serious recommendation. If you have even the slightest fear of a fundamentalist takeover, this film will scare the crap outta ya.

Isolation? It's not bad for a British film. Also, Severance wasn't too bad either. Killer's Moon is fantastic, Mum & Dad is pretty good so's Funny Man, and I'm really showing my age here, but The Quatermass Experiment is a classic.

I can't even make it 15 minutes into that film, it doesn't scare me, it just really pisses me off that the kind of mental abuse shown in that movie is not only tolerated, but actively encouraged.

Just watched "Deathwatch" today and it was really good, British made WW1 horror, not too much in the way of gore but the sound design alone is horrifying.

Basic story, group of British WW1 soldiers get lost after a battle and find a German trench, they take it over and bad stuff starts happening.

I classify Alien as the best horror movie of all time. I'd recommend that.
But doesn't everyone?

OT:I would recommend, hmmm I don't know any movies that are scary for me,but then again I'm pretty immune to most horror stuff. (Cube and Alien aren't too scary for me)

[REC] is good, because the premise is so realistic and the way it is filmed is convincing. There is an occult bit at the very end.

[REC] 2 takes everything good about the first movie and throws it away. Still, some people like it.

Dead scilence is good. and (though they are not really "movies") Marble Hornets and Tribe Twelve. the two best Slenderman ARGs in my opinion.
