Recommend a great Sci Fi

In the last two years, it appears that i have watched every good sci fi movie out there.

Now i'm stuck.

I've seen all of the most famous movies and quite a few that nobodies heard of.

I seem to have even exhausted the list of foreign language/Anime movies and shows.

Can anyone help?

Equilibrium?

Fairly obvious IMO but still worth mentioning.

ok, it's not the best movie by any means, i had to get that out of the way first. but one you could watch is The Hive, think when ants attack and that's pretty much it but with a few interesting plot turns. once you get past the bad acting and writting and only see what this movie could actually be if done well do you really enjoy it. so i hope you enjoy it, if you decide to watch it that is.

Titan AE. An animated movie that got mixed reviews (I love it)
Solent Green, Logans Run and Barbarella are classics well worth seeing if you haven't watched them yet.

Warhammer 40,000: Ultramarine is ok(ish) if your into 40k

It's hard to pick, I'd assume you've seen the more recent ones like District 9 and Serenity.

I don't know of any si-fi films but if you are interested in a good si-fi book then I would recomend anything written by Iain M Banks. I found The Use of Weapons in particular very enjoyable but again he is not exactly obscure.

Serenity (or if you want to be a purist, watch the series)
Metropolis (the original)

Event Horizon (If you like a little Hellraiser mixed w/ your spaceships)

Event Horizon, very underrated movie and i liked it alot.

Awesome movie.

Neon City is an okay movie. Has Michael Ironside. Not great by any means, but has some good things going for it. Also while on Michael Ironside, Scanners if you haven't seen it.

Critters. The first one is good, though I guess it qualifies as Sci-fi/Horror.

Alien and Aliens, Pandorum was a surprise out of left field. Galaxy Quest was a really fun movie with some great production.

As far as books go, check out some H.P. Lovecraft. He's got a really unique, documentary-like blend of sci-fi and horror that really draws you in the more you read. Plus, all his stories are fairly short.
I recommend trying out
The Call of Cthulhu,
The Dunwich Horror,
At the Mountains of Madness,
The Shadow Over Innsmouth,
and
A Shadow Out of Time.

You will not be disappointed.

Danny Boyle's Sunshine is one of my favourites, definitely his finest in my opinion
How about the best Star Trek films? Wrath Of Khan, Search For Spock and Voyage Home
District 9? Everyone must see District 9. It should be law
Ooh! Moon! That film blew my damn socks off!

TV?
I just got into Fringe and it is superb. Season 1 is great and season 2 is even better. I rate is as highly as Battlestar Galactica and I love Battlestar (named my second car Starbuck)
