Recommend a Sad/Emotional Anime to Me

Based on crying, Cowboy Bebop made me cry at the end, though that's more action packed for the majority.

Welcome to the NHK! might work for you. It's fairly comedic for the most part, but it gets serious in the last half.

well if ur looking for a more mature anime I'd go with elfen lied. Starts off as a cool gory action anime, but gets quite sad at the end. I didn't cry but i was depressed for most of the day when I finished it

Hmm. I've never "cried" to a anime before, but Death Note can be a pretty big downer if you're willing to put up with X episodes of watching everyone sitting around plotting.

I mean, the entire thing revolves around insanity, mass murder, deception, manipulation, all that fun stuff.

Personally, I loved it all, but I'm weird.

I second bebop, uhm I'm watching Gundam Seed right now which is pretty dramatic. Full Metal Alchemist has some hard hitting episodes.

all of them? is that an anime or are you saying all anime are emotional/sad. While all anime do evoke an emotion, most of the time its not sadness thats evoked

Every anime I have watched (maybe minus one or two more comedy styled ones) has had at some point a sad turn.
I can't think of a single story driven anime that doesn't have at least one point in it meant to make you sad. Not saying it will make you cry that's down to you as a person but they all some part usually near the end where they want to bring you to tears.

Yeah, I've heard Death Note is pretty sad, the same of Cowboy Bebop and also I reckon code geass was kinda sad too.
