Okay, shameless promotion list time. But this time, I'll separate it into genres!

Hey guys, I've got a new debit card with a bit of money on it, and I am looking to rent some films on my PS3.

What films can you recommend me, because when films are considered, I'm not really clued up on the best ones.

Im more into complex stories, than mindless action films, and im not a fan of romcom's either.

The films I have been looking at is the Millennium series (are those films any good?).

Also, is lovefilm on my PS3 worth it, i know their's a free trial, but im still a bit apprehensous about the subscription (is their a good choice of films on that aswell).

Thank you

(before you type Scott Pilgrim I've already seen it, and it is awesome.)
Black swan! Black Swan! Black swan! black swan! black swan! ok so its not out yet on home video...but seriously see black swan

other than that...Splice is a really cool sci fi monster flick, it deals with the ethics and stuff

Pans labrynth if you feel like being mesmerised and horrified

I've seen the Millennium films, all three are very good; definitely worth a watch. I also recommend Silence of the Lambs, The Big Lebowski, Secret of NIMH, and Outlaw Josey Wales (my personal favorite Clint Eastwood movie).

Dark City - great sci-fi film
Brother From Another Planet - as funny as the name suggests, but makes you think a bit too.
C.H.U.D. - good old fashioned campy horror movie
No Country For Old Men - if Anton Chigurh doesn't scare the living crap out of you...

If you haven't seen it yet I have to recommend Ralph Bakshi's Wizards. It's weird, looks cool, and pretty much blew my mind when I first saw it. It seems to be a love it or hate it movie though.

The Dirty Harry Series, but especially the 1st and 4th ones... then the 2nd, 3rd and 5th ;) (chronologically might be better if you're watching them all).

Inception for a thinker. Toy Story 3 for a tear in your eye the whole movie. Any movie by Pixar really. Titan A.E. is a good one too.

In the Mouth of Madness - Horror/thriller. One of the good Stephen King adaptions. Really good actually, if you're into this kind of thing.
Great film, but has nothing to do with Stephen King; maybe because it's about a horror writer?
Anyway one of carpenter's better ones

Oh yeah, I just remembered. I think I might have mixed it up with 1408. Guess I just had that movie in mind while writing. Sorry about that =)
