Hey this is my first thread :D Been looking for some bands to listen to, any recommendations?
I tend to listen to Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Nirvana, The Beatles, Iron Maiden. The classic rock n roll/metal kind of thing

What good is the search function going to do? I haven't asked this question before and not everyone has the same taste in music. Appreciate the reply though kid

Ah dude, don't make threads like this.
You'll only get a bunch of people suggesting a load of obscure, unheard of and often crappy bands whom people post regardless of your interests in music, and if you do go with listening to those suggestions you'll probably only end up wasting a lot of time listening to suckage.

So yeah.

It doesn't matter if your taste is slightly different from others'. You're still going to receive the same answers/recommendations as in every other person in the thousands of recommendation-threads that have gone before.
By the way, when you're going to reply to someone, press the quote button at the bottom of their post, that way they are notified about your response.

As for actual music I recommend...
You can never have enough of unironic awesome fantasy metal.
[HEADING=3]For the king, for the land, for the mountains!
For the green valleys where dragons flyyyy![/HEADING]

Gojira: Quite a bit heavier, but very good.

And here's some stuff you wouldn't normally listen to:

I'm just going to do what I always do in these threads: That is, completely ignore what you want me to recommend and just say Devin Townsend, Protest the Hero and SikTh because that's what I always recommend.

No one has any excuse for not listening to Townsend anyway, considering he covers so many genres.

may i suggest that you try out some music specific forums, and also that you add some more personalty, seriously those are the most generic bands to list maybe go list a few bands that's not on rollingstones top 50 bands of all time, it will make it easier to recommend new bands as based on those you have listed one can recommend basically everything, but a good place to start if you really like classic metal is to check out brütal legends soundtrack and then buy everything by those artists/bands.

Ah, I see you like the Beatles.

I just stumbled across This Is Me Smiling earlier today and they have a very Beatlesesque sound. Unfortunately there aren't really any good youtube videos with studio versions of their tracks.

So if you ever feel the need to grab some pretty decent piano rock check them out. It should appeal to your Beatles senses. :)

For the rest...hmm...

Check out more recent Dead Poetic, Chasing Victory, and Project 86. If you don't mind their vocal stylings differing a bit from your given choices I think you might appreciate their tunes. It's a shame that only Project 86 is still around.

And for a bit of a more modern classic rock feel, I'll go with my old standby recommendation of House of Heroes. I just have to recommend them to everyone I talk to.

I hope some of that might appeal to you. If not, I can keep listing all day. I'm sure we can find something you'll enjoy. :p

Queen. Anything by Queen. The classics are ofcourse mandatory (Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't stop me now, Somebody to love) but many of their less-well-known songs are some of the best I've ever heard.

Pretty much the same, you dont have a special or unique taste.
Did I say that I did? Whats that? I didnt. Ohh well then you can just stop jumping to conclusions ;)
Its irrelevant what you say, your taste is pretty much average.
