recommended PS3 games.

So last December i had the cash to drop into getting a new ps3 slim but i was confused as to what games to get for it and ended up getting most multi platforms for my 360 knowing the live community but the psn one and just grabbing a mish mash of exclusives for my ps3.

now i feel like i should be getting more ps3 games so i can enjoy my ps3 more and give my 360 a rest and i thought what better place would there be to get recommendations for games than the escapist.

List of games i already have:-

Uncharted 2 - first game immensely enjoyed it not played the first though.

Tekken 6 - second game that came with the ps3 as much as a fan of spoonys as i am, sadly i'm not a lord of tekken and can't air juggle bitches and just get annoyed with the game.

Heavy rain - i enjoyed this game up until the point i got to still yet to complete i should probably get on that but at the time i was busy with studies.

god of war 3 - only ever played first five mins of god of war 1 but i checked up on the story online to know what was going on enjoyed this greatly.

little big planet - only played a small amount of this but loved its charm i should really play it some more.

Killzone 2 - story was okay didn't like the way the camera was setup it was like i was a hobbit of the future, online is really fun.

Resistance 2 - bought it for the coop beacause i enjoyed it up a mates story makes no sense but a little fun

inFAMOUS - enjoying it so far getting stuck occasionally but im still having more fun than i did with prototype.

those are the games i own so far i wrote a small sentence of my thoughts on each game so you could see what type of games i may enjoy.

I did try to consult my friends on this but the only reply i got was "get modern warfare 2"

I'd get Uncharted 1.

Add Modnation Racers and Metal Gear Solid 4 and you basically have my PS3 library.

BlazBlue is a new 2D fighting game, I just got it today and it kicks total ass.

Uncharted 1- I havent played uncharted 2 but I know uncharted 1 was a blast so if you like the second you'll probably like the first.

Modnation racer- if you like little big planet and you like kart racing this is worth checking out.

Rachet and Clank- this is a good hack n slash game. I personally prefer tools of destruction.

Metal Gear Solid 4- This game is also very popular on the ps3... frankly though I hated the story and some moments i just cringed at the story cause it was so over the top.

Those are some of the ones I can think of. Hope that helps. Im interested to see what everyone else suggests as Im in a bit of a gaming drought as well.

You already have all of the best exclusives. Seriously.

But if you're still curious, go ahead and try the earlier entries in the series you have (Uncharted, Resistance) as well as Heavenly Sword, Demon's Souls, and MGS4 if you're a fan.

There are a few RPGs too, but you didn't give any clue that you care for that sorta thing.

Demon's Souls is a little frustrating at first, but then it's really fun. I enjoy the dungeon-crawler RPG aspect to it, but also the online is pretty innovative and fun (my friend and I used to play and have a blast).

I bought 3D Dot Game Heroes but haven't opened it yet. I love Zelda games, so I know I'll probably really like it, and if you like them, I'd probably suggest this one to you.

Uncharted 1- I havent played uncharted 2 but I know uncharted 1 was a blast so if you like the second you'll probably like the first.

First of all, this. If you liked Uncharted 2, then Uncharted: Drake's Fortune will feel pretty familiar. Also I found that Uncharted was more of a challenge than the sequel, with the lack of a blind-fire reticule and the transition between fighting hired guns and... better hired guns. It definitely beats the monotonous squads of equally stupid goons you fight in U2.

Metal Gear Solid 4- This game is also very popular on the ps3... frankly though I hated the story and some moments i just cringed at the story cause it was so over the top.

I'd only recoment Metal Gear Solid 4 if you're a fan of the series. All in all it's a good stealth shooter; but if you don't know the vast background of Metal Gear, then the story and it's references will probably be lost on you. Worth a play though if you fancy yourself an aspiring Snake.

Moving on, if you're an JRPGer, there's Valkyria Chronicles. Basically turn based tactical warfare with real time third person shooting. It comes with your typical JRPG tropes, but it's good fun and if you like JRPGs it's one for the collection. With some of the better points being able to customize the people in your platoon, as well as choosing where to spend your funds; wether it be Tank R&D or Weapons development. You can kit out your force to your play style.

Demon's Souls is another excellent choice if you're keep on RPGs. Don't let people put you off when they whine about the difficulty, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Also the online is quite different and nifty.

And lastly, you can't go wrong with Ratchet & Clank. Good platformer, delivering the same quality gameplay that our furry friend and his toaster always have... it's just somewhat underappreciated.

i might take a look into demons souls maybe import a US version as for some unknown reason its cheaper than buying it in a game shop here.

Also anyone think that MAG is any good? i haven't really heard much about it.

KillZone 2 is way more fun online than MW2. Demon's souls kicks ass, have a look at Disgaea 3 if you're in to that kind of thing, and MAG is awesome. Gettit!

Also, Borderlands and Fallout 3: Game of the Year. Do it.

You could try getting a few second hand ones like bioshock instead of all new ones, you'll have just as much fun but you'll have more games.

Assuming you're in the PAL area it's cheaper there because it's been out for about a year there and about a month here, if you buy the black phantom edition you get a strategy guide which will help out a lot though.

Anyway I'd suggest Valkyria Chronicles (I'm determined to recommend that game to everyone ), get the first two Monkey Island games off psn if you haven't got them on live/steam already and the GoW 1/2 remakes.
