My favorite thing is just exploring. The real star of this game is the world that R* has created. Despite the many flaws in both design and glitches I can't get enough of this world. I would have to say that this even trumps Oblivion and Fallout 3. It's just freak'n beautiful.

I remember first setting foot in Armadillo. Wow! I was just in awe of the setting and the atmosphere. I strolled confidently to the saloon, eager to shove those swinging doors aside and make an impressive entrance. But outside the saloon is a woman screaming, being beaten/stabbed to death by a man holding her down. She cries for help, I'm still struck with awe, and she's dead before I even realise that I can actually help her. I was mortified after that!

Also managed to turn the entire Mexican Army against me when they asked me to burn a house down and one of their stupid soldiers just happened to stand in the way of my flaming bottle of death. Sad times, pity I had to kill them all after that!

Yeah its actually a woman you have to put on the tracks. Took me three times for it to register the Achievement though.
Seriously? There's an achievement for doing that? First time I realised I could hogtie people that was my first thought! Still haven't done it though... I can't wait to pretend to be a top hat wearing, evil moustache twirling villain about to murder a beautiful lady beneath the wheels of a speeding train! Bwah ha ha!

I hogtie people, ride deep into the wild, then toss them on the ground. I cut them free and let them run. I wait. I shoot them in the leg, then run them down and hogtie them again. Then I shoot their other leg, and leave them to the animals or elements, whichever comes first.

Usually the predators.

The bait helps.
I'm somewhat disturbed and also intrigued by this cruel plan. Than again, I may just try it out, for the lulz!

I have to say that in every morality/choice/open world type game ala Fallout 3 or Mass effect, I always play the absolute goody goody. This game seems to really bring out the lawless villain in me... o_O

Viciously shooting up a small settlement while wearing a bandana..

What? Some of them fought back. even made a roadblock out of wagons
got of lot of money and horse skins that way, 20 by my count. and made about 200 dollars.
How do you get the bandana? I've been desperate to get one because I'm playing as a good guy yet have the urge to completely wreak havoc on the poor citizens of Red Dead Redemption.

EDIT: Nevermind, I searched it on YouTube after posting and found out how to get it.

I've had it for a few days now, to be honest once the initial wow factor goes the hunting and poker etc. seem a bit boring/pointless. At the moment i'm basically only doing main missions as I haven't quite finished the game.

I just love exploring and hunting quite a lot.

Also, playing it now, I'm currently doing a Seth mission, went for cover, launched myself several hundred feet into the air and died upon landing on top of a well.

How do you win at duels? Because I fill up the bar like it asks me too, and the opponent just shoots me dead?

Edit: Also, has anyone else developed an emotional attachment to their horse? I feel like I should name my horse.
Have to agree with you there. The stallion I got seems to be a Kentucky Saddler which is pretty fast, he's been with me since that mission all the way to Mexico where I'm currently a few story missions in. Apparently if you ride them enough they keel over and die after a few hours but he's still going strong.
Really?!

My brother has low enough honour that he has a black horse with a skull like white area around its face, along with some nasty looking scars on its legs and flanks.
Exactly true for my brother too.

For me, Liars dice could easily become an addiction. I remember having to wait untill a certain time for a mission to become availiable, so I went and got drunk, then played Liars Dice in the saloon, in the middle of a massive thunderstorm, that was a pretty awesome 30 minutes.
It's difficult if impossible to lose at that game, the AI are idiots.

Same here at first. Just ask them what time they're getting a new box in and go around that time. That's what I did.

My favorite past time is hunting, oddly. The wolf population has greatly decreased since I started playing.

Especially when I kill them with my FISTS.

I have! I managed to keep the first horse that I broke in, in one of the Bonnie MacFarlane missions, for quite a long time. If he/she (?) ever died, I would reload and continue. I was quite determined to keep that horse for the whole game. I see them as more than just transport, I guess that's the effect of the game!

Then I did one of the breaking in side missions to obtain a outfit scrap and was informed that THAT horse was now my trusty steed. I had lost my favourite horse and it was replaced with some random one. I could have cried, sad times. :(

Hunting and exploring, without a doubt. I've spent hours just trying to find the perfect spot for hunting.

Also,

DRRRRRRRINKINGGG!!!

Seriously, the mechanic was really cleverly implemented. I could literally spend just hours getting wasted and telling people they were my friends, then aiming a gun at them, firing, missing and hitting a cat.
