It's driving me insane. The God's are conspiring against me so that I will not get this game. I went to three fucking Blockbuster's to get it. First one, Sold out. Second one was Closed. Third one I come to find out that you have to be 18 to make a blockbuster account.

A very good game, with the most God-awful pacing I've ever seen; Rockstar need to sort it out for their next game.

Other than that though I thought it was great.

Oh, and "Outlaws to the end" is such a good tagline it sends shivers down my spine - especially once you've played through the entire story. Then it really holds true.

So how do you guys feel about it anyways? Personally I love it, the single player keeps me busy trying to do just about anything, and the multiplayer is awesome in private free roam. Of course public free roam and multiplayer matches have been ruined by noobs, but that will never change.
USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION

MY GOD!!! How could you expect that you'd be the first person to post about it? The game is EXTREMELY popular and has been out for a while now.

I just searched it and oh my god... the amount of threads about it.

Please, I beg you and anyone who sees my post here, use the search function... It is how these forums remain of high quality!

EDIT: I see you are new. I hope I was not too harsh, but this is a pet peeve of mine. I am still hoping others will see this post and think twice before making a duplicate thread.
If you hate it so much then why did you just bump the topic with your post?

Honestly, people posting search bar posts is a pet-peeve of mine. If you didn't post and ignored it the thread is more likely to die faster.

I second the motion.

OT: I've just got Red Dead Redemption waiting for me when I get home, due to me abandoning my precious 360. It looks a load of fun...especially with the 'glitches' that occur in the game. Only other Western game I've played is GUN which was pretty good. I just hope this one works out well.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. Although, I can't remember the last time I felt so uneasy after finishing a game.

Just finished it, literally like three minutes ago. I won't post any spoilers, but i'm pretty moved by the ending. Rockstar have gotten good at writing stories.

I enjoyed playing it very much; it's the kind of game that doesn't have anything quite jump out at you like say, the beginning of Uncharted 2, but it is the kind of game where before you know it, 8 hours have passed. And you been totally immersed in the experience.

but i did realize the same thing that Yahtzee mentioned in his EP about the game: There doesn't seem to be any sense of... survival. You never get thirsty, you never get tired, and apart from fast travel, there was little reason to use your camp. and because you never really found yourself in need of anything, there was no reason to break the law, other than being a dick for dick's sake.

I think the game would have benefited on the immersion front from the addition of fatigue and thirst/hunger moniters. Optional ones of course, but still. it would have added that much more to the experience.

Incidentally, this is why i'm so excited about Hardcore mode in Fallout: New Vegas.

The singleplayer was awesome, but the multiplayer is kinda crap. There's just hardly anyone in Free Roam, which makes me annoyed, so I go sniping the few other players that are there. Also, I just can't invite a friend of mine in my game and he can't add me. What's up with that? I don't enjoy 'exploring' much, because there isn't anything I haven't seen in the singleplayer.
If you're playing it on PS3, that's your problem right there. Apparently you can't play with your friends or invite them on PS3 for the time being. Hopefully they'll get around to fixing it soon.
I don't think that's true, I played it near release and I could invite my friends to a Free Roam. In multiplayer, you press select, then the square button, and move over to the friend you want to invite.
My stepfather was just talking about it, and I've seen lots of people report the problem. Maybe PS3 users are just retarded, no, that one was too easy. :p
It's strange, some of them I can invite, some of them I can't invite. I really don't know why.

A friend of mine works at a rental store, and apparently they've had to fill out 5 sheets on their own. And that's for people reserving copies once they're returned. According to his coworkers, this is the first time they've had to do this ever before. At least 3-4 times a day, someone will come in and ask it it's available, my friend will say no, they'll say he didn't even look, and he will inform them of the reservation sheets and that he didn't have to.

Holy crap. The only reason I almost got one from the last Blockbuster was because there was a copy in the return box, but that is just crazy.

Wait, it's an "M" rated game, you would need to be 18 to buy it (legally). So, why shop around when you can't buy/rent it anyways? I don't understand.

Whom do you consider noobs in the Multiplayer?

I am probably the only one of my friends that loved the HELL out of RDR.

Sadly, it was just too short for all the hype that I was prepared for. The time there was, it was really, really good! But it ended too soon...

Plus Jack is a tosser compared to his old man.
