I've only dated one redhead. I think I have an aversion to them because two of my brothers, and my mom have auburn-dark red hair.
Than again I, my father, and 4 of my brothers have blonde or sandy blonde hair and I married a blonde chick...

But, if we're being completely vain here and strictly speaking about hair colour, it all comes down to the person. I've seen plenty of cute gingers with orange hair before and seen an equal number of cute people with dyed crimson hair before.

It goes the other way as well. Some people... don't look good with redhair >>

Well, im a red head, but i havent noticed any more or less attractiveness towards me in that department, that being said the old ladies are in love with my hair =s

I am prone to this weakness as well.

Honestly prefer natural shades, the orange look or the darker ginger/auburn look.

The reasoning I think stems back to the "firey, passionate" connotation that is supposed to be with it.

However, ive found for long term relationships that kind of mentality is just a recipe for disaster. I come from ginger stock and putting two people with that bloodline in the same room for extended periods of time is pretty much like tying two cats together, it will not end well, and someone else always has to intervene

Dyed red... eh. its alright. Kinda like the silicone syndrome. It seems nice but the longer your exposed to it, the less allure it has.
