Right. I am just after waking up from a night on the town. Logged on to face book and just realized that I have organised a meet up with an ex (that I didn't want) organised a drinking session today that now seems like hell and sent a message to the girl I do like that now makes me look like a fool. (I can't remember doing any of these)

While these are by far not the worst things I have ever regretted on a night out at the same time I wished I did not do them.

So escapists I am asking ye to share the biggest regrets you have ever had after a night out and who knows reading others might make you feel better about your own.

Basically:

I very rarely do anything I regret afterwards while I'm drunk. I suppose I'm under Hathor's protection or something.

Did the waking up next to a hideous.... thing. At which point I decided that if I've been drinking pants stay on! Never happened again and I'm sure I'm a better, happier person because of it.
I think we all have done that at some stage or another. God damn it.

I remember being at a party awhile ago and hurting my hand. It was nothing serious, but I remember it being really sore. Apparently I got onto my myspace (remember I said it was awhile ago...) and told this girl I was talking to that I had broke my hand. When I woke up the next day (no one in my bed ;D), she had left over 30 voice mails on my phone, asking me if I was okay.

Luckily when im waking up nex to someone, they're usually way out of my league and probably looking at me going 'eh...' :p

OT: Im trying to things ive regretted, but i cannot really think of anything...apart from finding out i beat up a guy that I didnt know and didnt provoke me. I apologised and we are now good friends, but at the time i felt terrible.

Punched my housemate on the bus, climbed a tree at the bus stop, stole a cleaning sign, attempted to whirl it round & hit everyone but just fell onto someone's lawn and passed out. I only regret drinking so much.

Last friday I went out to celebrate coming back to plymouth after christmas vacation. I'm not sure how many jagerbombs I had that night, but it was in the region of "a lot".

Anyways, one of my friends started asking why I don't try and get a girlfriend. And thus, under the influence of alcohol, I told him a whole load of skeletons in the closet, and a large helping of stuff that was just plain insane. Luckily he seems to not have told anyone, not that I think my friends would take advantage of such dark secrets, but I still kinda wish I'd kept my mouth shut.

Last time I got really drunk I ended up texting a friend a few um, incomprehensible naughty things >_> I apologised in the morning and felt really embarrassed xD Apparently he rather he enjoyed the texts but I was still red faced ;P
That's the worst I can think of, I'm not too bad when drunk. I just talk a load of gibberish. Not much different than normal :D

Sounds like an epic night.

I never understood the point of getting drunk... Especially when it's quite common to do things you regret.

Get drunk = do things you regret, feel like shit.

Don't get drunk = Don't do things you regret (well... not anymore than usual), don't feel like shit.

Seems simple enough. So no. Never done anything I exceptionally regret after a night out. I've done things I regret, of course, but not anymore so than on any usual day.

And to people saying "I don't regret anything!". That's self-assuring bullshit. You will always do things you regret. There will always be things you do, then look back and think "...Yeah, that was stupid". Benefit of hindsight.

Ha ha sometimes I wake up and just wish I didn't bring my phone out. I am actually getting embarrassed thinking about some of the stuff I have texted.

It seems fun at the time. Besides, drinking in moderation is a great way to instantly feel confident and relaxed and happy. So if lots of people are doing it it's a great way to make friends.
The problems only come when you decide to get completely wankered to the point of not being able to think.

OT:
Fortunately I tend not to be able to text at all on the occasions that I do get extremely drunk, so I've never sent anyone a stupid drunken text. As for things I've actually done...
Well, for my 18th I had a house party and I kinda dumped my girlfriend of almost a year and a half. Theeeen I snogged someone right in front of her boyfriend*. Aaaand I ended up not sleeping at all on account of 3 other people were sharing my bed. Aaaand I can't remember anything else really.

FYI: she was absolutely fine with me snogging her. Her boyfriend... wasn't. And the group in my bed weren't actually 'doing' anything much. Mostly. And yes I did slightly regret dumping my girlfriend that night, even though I'd been thinking about it for a while.

The only regret I've had after a night out is having gone out in the first place; I'm far too awkward to be in a social environment.

Honestly, I'm pretty immune to most forms of embarrassment.
I, along with a million others, am immensely jealous of you :p

OT: Rarely drink. Never been drunk. Winning. ;)
I've done plenty of embarrassing/regrettable things before, but that's because I'm an idiot rather than a drunk.

Something like five weeks ago I was out taking a couple of beers at a local bar with some friends.
Manly men that we are, we decided it was time for some armwrestling. I was locked in a tied match with one guy for something like ten minutes, until we decided to call it a draw. I then tried my hand at a rather much stronger buddy of mine who absolutely annihilated me. Several times.
When I woke up the next day, my wrist was hurting.
It's been at least one month now, and certain movements and putting pressure on my hand still hurts. I've contacted a physiotherapist who gave me a couple of exercises to work on every day for the next couple of months to strengthen my wrist...

And I've been subjected to a decent deal of wanking jokes.

Also: The night before yesterday I got very drunk and didn't have the presence of mind to handle romantic approaches appropriately. There was a rather embarrassing incident that I'd rather not elaborate further on...

Ah go on. Elaborate. We are intrigued now.
