letting a bad turn out with a girl fuck me around for years. I should have just gotten over it but it stuck with me. i'm a lot stronger now and much more in touch with my feelings but I still hate the way things turn out, even though i'd feel even worse and be even more pathetic if I'd never asked her out to begin with.

I don't consider myself at all pathetic now. My life is finally starting to go somewhere (i'm 19 and all my friends are at Uni so i have practically no one to talk to). I'm happy, i've finally got perspective and i don't think i've ever been more creative or more focused.

All the advice I would give to those with regrets;

use it. I cannot stress that enough. I am a better person because of it.

I regret not having the courage to tell my parents I do love them, and that I'm sorry for all the times i've screwed up, and all the lies I tell them about everything >_<I wish I could tell them who I really was but I just know they will hate me for it. I regret not trusting my instincts on a number of occasions. Most importantly I regret not hanging on to the one man in my life I ever really loved.

There are some major ones, that I won't post on the internet.

But I always do wish I spent more time with my friends from my childhood. They are now either different people or have moved so far away they feel like different people. Hell, some of them are dead. I long for the days I spent with my close friends when I was a child and I would love to see them all again.

But hey, you have to be realistic don't you? And this stuff happens in life. It happens to everyone. I'd just like to see them one more time. Even just to say good bye.
Oh gods... This is making me well up.

When I was little (and I mean REALLY little, like 5 or 6) my family didn't have a whole lot of money... my mum threw me a birthday party for me at my house and invited all my friends over from school etc. She organised games for us to play, bought food and played music for us on the piano to play the games to.

Well, a few of my friends said they were bored and that the party was rubbish, so being a little kid I started to think it was too and got all stroppy and said I wanted to do something else, basically ruining the party. I've always felt really bad about that. I know I didn't know any better at the time but my mum did something really lovely for me and I threw it back in her face. I guess a lot of you guys will think it's a lame regret or whatever, but there are few things in my past that make me feel as awful as that day.

I used to be a depressed ******.

(It made me look like some attention whore or shit, when I was really just depressed.)

Other then that, nope, I'm great.
You're not the only one, but "******" is a bit inappropriate. Putting yourself down like that isn't good, you have to accept the depression for what it was and move on. Only then are you cured.

Regrets, I've had a few.
But then again, too few to mention.
Sinatra win.

I regret not being there when a really good friend needed because I was too much of a kid to get my head out of my proverbial ass, it had consequences, even if not for me, that could've been avoided. Also regret lending that original Diablo to a friend of mine...

I guess my regrets is not getting to know my grandfather before he died when I was little (I still remember him but not asking about his history etc).

Well, whether you know it or not, I think you have said good bye.

Good Bye.

I try to live without regrets, but a small thing I would change in hindsight would be to take music class instead of technical drawing. My foundation on music sucks, and I can't do much to change it now as I have too many bad playing habit that mean I can't really go back and do it the right way, but I am happy where things have ended up anyway.

Living with regrets, big or small will always hold you back, the more you let yourself go, the more free you become.

I must be defective or something because I don't really regret anything I have done yet, and I don't really foresee myself regretting anything I do in the future.

Just one. When I was two or three, we went to a local pound and adopted a cat. I fell in love with it quickly and we quickly became as close as a human and a cat can be. Fifteen years later, we had to put her down because her kidneys were failing. When she was being put down, I left before the vet came in with the syringe. I was afraid to be there, and I wasn't there for her last moment. I've regretted that moment ever since.

I regret not joining more clubs/sports teams in elementary/high school. And I regret not getting a job when I was in high school. Other than that, my high school life seems like a missed opportunity, but I think that's due to circumstances beyond my control (ie: friends being too busy to hang out) more than anything.
