Assassins Creed is the only current gen game I've really scolded myself over.
Utter, utter crap. I do not give a tinkers cuss how good the graphics are if the gameplay is non existant. What really hurts is they could have done so much with it.

The fact that a lot of pepole were wanking over it's very few merits didn't help.

Good thing that I borrowed Assassin's Creed from a friend... though, I love it so far, and I'm up to the 5th assassination. I dunno, something about climbing up to a tower, synching with the area, and eagle diving is just awesome.

Though, I do regret buying Oblivion. I played it for a bit, and then it hit me: this game is shit. I just hated it, most likely because it robs me of my feeling of god I usually get from playing a RPG by scaling the levelling.

Two Treasures. So utterly crap.
Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom. Great at first, but basicly offers nothing new after the first couple of lvls.
Mass Effect. Bought it when I thought it was a Xbox exlusive title. (I loved the game though, would just rather have it on PC)
LOTRO. Couldn't keep my attention.
Battlefield 2142. I got the shit in danish language and with no possibility to turn it to english. It also lagged as the only multiplayer game I've tried on my internet connection.

STALKER. I really want to like it, I just can't. Fortunatly, I paid about $10 for it, so I only regret it a little bit.

Age of Mythology. That game was just too damn hard.

Sacred. Gets old very quickly.

As long as the game keeps me occupied enough hours of work it cost to buy it, money well(or at least not regrettably) spent. Terrible game or not.

Though of course people with less disposable income(not that I have much, I'm just a good financier) would surely see it differently.

That being said the game I've been most disappointed with recently was soulstorm. It's been how long without a patch to fix game breaking bugs/glitches? I have to /quit every time I join a game and anyone is playing the SoB... But I still love it because it's more DoW...

Universal Combat. It was an impulse buy, I was naive(can't do umlauts) it only cost me $6.00 Canadien, but it was still a total waste. Played it for 3 minutes, realized it was atrocious, and threw it into a corner.

My friend saw FF10.2 in the bargain bin, and I said "Final Fantasy's pretty good right?" I was so, so wrong. I don't think that game has been touched since the first 8 minutes of constantly pressing X.

Devil May Cry 2: I bought it on the cheap for £20 and it's just utter crap. 20 quid down the drain.

Oh, I regret buying Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. It was bland, boring, and the only good thing about it is the revamped combat. Only the first and last PoPs were good.

I regret shelling out for Rogue Galaxy as well. It's a nice RPG and all, but for time it took them to make it, it's depressingly average, and I think that's a shame.

What I wonder is what on earth compelled them to take the RTS elements out of the game. They were what made it fun! There was nothing quite like ordering an army around a battlefield, telling the infantry to charge, and then taking part in the charge and resulting clash yourself

Exactly. I think what made it worse was the fact that I bought DMC3:SE about a weeek later for the full price and it was so good compared to that bloody DMC2. Even the first game is better than it. I don't know what makes developers make crap sequels with "2" on the end, but they just do. ¬_¬

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.
Why Nintendo? Why?
Why take the perfect level design that made Zelda great and fuck it up the rear?

Project Sylpheed: FINALLY wanted to play a decent Space-Flight Shooter again that was in the likes of Colony Wars, Starlancer or even Freespace

I cannot even tell what exactly it is about this game, but the game was so unremarkable and mediocre that it was a crushing disappointment for me...

Because they wanted to try somthing a little different... It wasn't a bad game but it was way to short and easy.

Heavenly Sword, but not for the reason you'd think. About 4 days later, I added up my finances and realised I didn't have enough to buy my mum a birthday present. I had to return it. Second game I got for my Ps3, and I couldn't keep it a week...
Devil May cry 4 (shitty. Better on the 360, then the pc)

Legend of Zelda the twighlight princess (seen it all before. Okami was better)
Tell me how is DMC 4 better on the 360? And why compare LoZ: TP with okami? it's like comparing Castlevania with Vampire the masquerade.

I regret the purchase of EWJ2 for GBA I loved the PC version but they totally ruined it with a version that has more bugs then insecticide. by the great worm spirit who's essence is that of all things slippery. why?

WoW. I spent 35 quid on the battle chest and a game card. Blazing Crusade or whatever the expansion was never got played.
