I bought it. Kotor crashes immediatelt on startup but kotor 2 works great. God help you if you press the windoes key though.... Also the restored content was great except HK factory, had to use invincibility to beat that.
Do you have a multi-core processor? KOTOR 1 has to be run on a single core, there's a way to fix it using a command line shortcut (assuming you're using Windows). There's also a 16:9 upres patch you might want to look into if you've got a widescreen monitor. The prerendered cutscenes won't work anymore, but there's not a whole hell of a lot in them anyways.
You are assuming that I am knowledgeable with computers sir, I am not. It took me almost 2 hours to enable cheats in kotor 2...

It's a pretty easy fix if that's the problem, I can give you the full instructions if you want. You don't actually have to use command line, you just have to give a certain target for the shortcut.

Wow. Alright, then, I'll go have a look. I recently bought a different Star Wars collection, with Battlefront 1 & 2, and Republic Commando. This is pretty badass.

Two of the greatest Star Wars games ever? I sense a lack of Jedi Knight 2 so the description is clearly false advertisement. *chuckles*
They made a second one!?

AND NO ONE TOLD ME!?

Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Pretty damn awesome. Just very, very long, and very, very difficult.

Was the first one a puzzle game too? I found outcast lying around the house and thought,"Cool, a Star Wars game" then I found out it was a puzzle game and thought, boo! I wanted to be a jedi not have to roam around solving stupid puzzles and occasionally use force powers.

The most exciting part of this is that KOTOR II is finally Windows 7 compatible. I'm so happy.

PS: is this Australian EB Games? I checked online but there's nothing. I can't even remember if we have a decent stock of PC games in my EB store...
I live in Canada, we also have EB Games. In fact the Gamestop/EB Games Distribution center is just a half hour drive from where I live. So far this looks like it might be a North American thing, which is a shame for Aussie gamers.

It's not a puzzle game, it's just an old school shooter. The Dark Forces/Jedi Knight Series got progressively simpler as time went on.

The first game was the Star Wars equivalent of Doom, and it had some incredibly annoying puzzles in it. DF2/Jedi Knight 1 had some tricky puzzles towards the end, but it was more about huge open levels and dicking around with The Force.

Jedi Outcast really only had one or two devoted puzzle levels, one being the Jedi training on Yavin IV.

Jedi Academy had almost none, and it had a ton of lightsaber combat.

Really? That's a shame. It's working for me. I also loved the HK Factory, and I didn't find it too difficult. I thought it was one of the best parts, especially when you reprogram the HK-51s to become your personal army.
for some odd reason when i faced off against master vash at the hk factory at the end, she was a fuckin monster, even at level 25 with full shields/preps on, she'd still smoke me in about 2-3 hits, otherwise i did okay on that part.
Wait wait wait, back up for a second. What the hell was Lonna Vash doing at the HK Factory? Are you mixing this up with the M4-78 Mod?
woops yep your right, mix matched that one in my head, although that would be funny to mod that in there ^_^

but still. Master Vash...

Dat ass. It means business.

I walked into EB Games today and came out with this.

-image snip-

It now works with Windows 7. Thank god, I was getting sick of working the old disks to run on modern systems. This was especially aggravating with The Sith Lords.

But now, now it's back, and on a single handy DVD. Now to download TSL Restored Content Mod 1.8 and Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge for K1, and I'm gonna go on a nostalgia binge.
That is seriously awesome. I like how they've blended the two covers. If I didn't already own 1 on Steam and 2 on discs(which I got working on Windows 7 pretty easily), I'd be all over this. I'm wondering if it'll come on Steam and some point, though I doubt it, as I read somewhere(on this site, I think), that KotOR 2 won't ever be made available through digital means, for some reason.
What I find most significant is that this is the first time since 2005 that Lucasarts has made The Sith Lords readily available for purchase. They've spent the last seven years acting like it never happened because of the bad blood they got for fucking with Obsidian. And now, it's out again.
Definitely, KotOR 2 has all but been declared non-canon, with the way TOR has retconned so many things that TSL established. Well, here's to hoping they'll retcon it back in, because it really makes the SW univers a much more interesting place.
Let's be real: KotOR 2's story was a mess and should definitely not have been canon. Not a damn bit of it made real sense. The characters (well character, Kreia) were actually pretty interesting given that you could have them as dark or light instead of just alienating those of one faction.

The whole "wound in the force" thing is bullshit, having one person be able to kill AN ENTIRE PLANET with the Force then lose to a random bullshit Jedi is bullshit, Bao-Dur is a dumbass, Atton has the stock "dark past", Disciple might as well be an exposition machine, Handmaiden has so much potential that isn't realized, Visas is the stock "naive zealot". The entire ending from Dantooine is absolutely retarded on multiple levels: no ability to effect the outcome, the Jedi Council always dies, there is no ending cinematic, and the last skill you get before Malachor makes the rest of the fights in the game a joke

Even with all that said, I love playing the game and I loved my first playthrough. I can't overlook the sheer amount of bullshit, though.

It would really be out of left field if it turned out that GOTO was actually Vash in disguise, hiding in the Telos Bunker all that time.

haha that'd be quite funny, wizard of oz style finding out it's her.

Bah, RIGHT when i'm about to uninstall the insane amount of mods and the game itself that i just played through, your making me want to mod it even more and play it again... P_P

They made a third one, too! They were both awesome, some of my fondest gaming memories were had in those games.

Especially the online RP servers. Man, I miss the online of those games =[

got it weeks ago, only problem with it is that it uses SecuROM and requires an internet connection just to start up. Some serious bullshit if you ask me, since I planned on playing this on my laptop.
