Shadow Man.
This N64/PSX/DreamCast game is severely underrated for what it was.
A very unique game based on a very unique story and surreal enviroments.

Also Blaster Master 8-bit!

I'd have to go with the Lands of Lore series. They're all pretty old now, and I'd love to see them all remade with the Elder Scrolls engine. Same style of game afterall, first person rpg with real time combat.

I'd say I'm probably alone in this but I think Final Fantasy 8 would do well with a remake. I still prefer this game story wise to 95% of games I've played since.

I do agree with Deus Ex and System Shock too. Good stuff there.

Imperium Galactica II. Friggin' great strategy game. Although it doesn't look all that old...

Or maybe someone could make another Planescape game. Not remake Torment, because you shouldn't remake something that good. Another game, set in the same universe. I mean, the Planescape setting is just goddamn huge. It wouldn't even be that hard to do.

Deus Ex
System Shock
Half Life (Come on Black Mesa, release already!)
Freelancer (Ok, not really THAT old, and still looks fairly decent)
KOTOR
Fallout 1 and 2

And probably a bunch more that I can't think of off the top of my head.

Ever since I saw the first few minutes of Halo: Combat Evolved faithfully re-rendered in HD at the end of Reach, I've wanted to see a current-gen remake of Halo: CE.

Yeah, I know it's unnecessary, and yeah, I know it won't do anything new, but who cares? That game rules.

I wasn't even gonna respond to this, since I'm not really in favor of remaking any old games, but Mega Man Legends is actually a good one. Such a fun game at the time, but completely unplayable by today's standards.

Shadow of the Colossus is another one. The PS2 kind of crippled that game.

EDIT: I could also stand, if not a remake, at least a remaster of FF12. Don't really even have to touch the graphics so much (though they could use a fresh coat of paint), but the sound is completely fucked in that game.

imagine a game with endless solar systems, newtonian physics and the ability to land on any planet you want with no loading screens, but with nice graphics.
Yeah, but that would get boring pretty quick without more to it than that. I'd gladly sacrifice the Newtonian physics and the endless systems and the ability to land on planets for decent gameplay.. and then I guess I would be left with the X series ;)

All Metal Gear games, all Final Fantasy games, especially 7 and 8, Shinobi II: Silent Fury, Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3. There's something missing in today's games. They're pretty, but...I dunno. It feels like they come out of a giant factory and they all feel the same, just like most music and movies. Anyway imagine if money hungry companies actually knew how to make money and actually did what costumers wanted...oh the possibilities.

Medievil and Resident Evil 3

Oh and Crash Bandicoot 1,2 and 3 (With naughty dogs current technology, they would look epic!)

Maybe the older DOOM and Quake games
Apparently DOOM 4 is going to be very similar to the original DOOM games, so perhaps this may be a possibility.
