Yeah its happening. Can't remember when the release date was supposed to be. Also theres whispers of a completely new oddworld game in the works... xD I'd like to see what munch's oddysee would have been like if it hadn't been rushed to be an xbox release title.waterhazard said:Completely this.Jerome9157 said:Star Wars: Battlefront. Also though I would go for Oddworld: Strangers wrath so I can actually play it on the 360 but apparently thats happening so thats good.![]()
I do. And I agree.JewZombie said:Future cop LAPD, anyone remember that game?
I'm perfectly happy with the combat, it was one of my favorite things about the game, so I wouldn't want them to touch it. As for the story...short of removing Vaan altogether, there's nothing they could really do to improve it. It was fine. It certainly didn't seem "ruined", it was as good as any other FF story, which are all admittedly pretty bad anyway. But that's what I expect from a FF game, and a great story would feel out of place.Horny Ico said:Haven't you heard of the Ico Collection? It's the European versions of both games on blue-ray! And FF12 needs more than remastering; the director was hospitalized during the making, so Sqeenix completely ruined the story for him. The ground-breaking combat was also deeply flawed.rockyoumonkeys said:Shadow of the Colossus is another one. The PS2 kind of crippled that game.
EDIT: I could also stand, if not a remake, at least a remaster of FF12. Don't really even have to touch the graphics so much (though they could use a fresh coat of paint), but the sound is completely fucked in that game.
Fallout 3, New Vegas - For all intents and purposes they have the same general ideas, aesthetics and approaches to their respective game worlds. I just stated Fallout 3 because it's the more instantly recognisable name out of the two having been out for a lot longer and being the direct sequel to an old isometric RPG.Maraveno said:wut? modeled after fallout 3????GiantRaven said:Arcanum modelled in the same vein as Fallout 3.
first of if any after new vegas but better something like gears of war graphics combined with arcanum style
For me it's legend of mana
Loved that game to death
The problem is that Gamecube isn't this gen's material. Also, I despise Resident Evil 4 and 5 and their crappy action game style so the remakes of 2 and 3 are gonna be trash for me. Thanks for the bad news -__-Horny Ico said:I heard a rumor that Microsoft is remaking it. Yeah, I know it's unnecessary, and yeah, I know it won't do anything new, but who cares? That game rules.Haven't you heard of the Ico Collection? It's the European versions of both games on blue-ray! There's a Wii port of it, too, just like Resident Evil 0. The best part is, Capcom said that they'll remake RE 2&3 with the RE4 engine if Umbrella Chronicles does well. (It has!)ManueleunaM said:All Metal Gear games...Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3.I just wanted to make sure you also heard about the REmakes. For that matter, MGS was also remade for the Gamecube, ever heard of "Twin Snakes"?SovietX said:Medievil and Resident Evil 3
Oh and Crash Bandicoot 1,2 and 3 (With naughty dogs current technology, they would look epic!)
Continuity said:MDK was an awful game and why would you want to remake deus ex? I suppose you think it would be a good idea to "re-make" the ceiling of the sistine chapel as a laser light show?Lem0nade Inlay said:Hm, maybe MDK?
Actually I think Deus Ex would be very good. Imagine exactly the same screnarios/gameplay/storyline, but with the graphics of the new one. That would be an awesome game.
Seriously the graphics and game mechanics of the new deus ex make me want to vomit, could they have made it more console-tastic?
Ok MDK wasn't that bad but it was certainly a weird action game which wasn't really what I was expecting from it. And no, I'm not comparing the graphics of deus ex to the art of the sistine chapel, probably a bad metaphor, I was just trying to say that I don't think you can really remake a classic without losing something intangible along the way.Lem0nade Inlay said:]
An awful game? MDK was fantastic! I mean if you were looking for anything mildy realistic you were going to be dissapointed, but man I had so much fun playing that bizarre game. I mean, who doesn't love telling bones to fly out and do a bombing run from his giant shoe-plane? Heh, but I can understand why some people didn't enjoy it.
Well I don't think you can compare the graphics of Deus Ex to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. I mean that's a great work of art, and the graphics of Deus Ex (by today's standards, they were pretty great back then) aren't all that good. I wouldn't want to change the game mechanics at all, all I'm saying is that if they used updated textures, models etc. To "re-make" is with modern graphics, using Human Revolutions was just an example, because IMO that game looks like one of the best looking games I've ever seen.
Yeah I have REmake, but they never remade Resident Evil 3. All they did was port it to Gamecube.Horny Ico said:I just wanted to make sure you also heard about the REmakes.SovietX said:Medievil and Resident Evil 3

Actually no, Fallout 3 is not a direct sequel to Fallout 2. Fallout: New vegas was a direct sequel to Fallout 2 because it actually continued the story of the West Coats and the NCR. It also makes references to events, people and things from Fallout 2.GiantRaven said:Fallout 3, New Vegas - For all intents and purposes they have the same general ideas, aesthetics and approaches to their respective game worlds. Apart from the general style (first/third person RPG set in a huge open world) though, it would be very very bad idea to continue along the other parts of Fallout 3's experience; such as bad dialogue, stupid story, uninteresting characters, etc. Fortunately a remake of Arcanum would already have the opposite of all that. =P
Oh, and yeah, New Vegas is far better than Fallout 3.
