TV: MacGuyver - this show has not aged well. That said the basic ideas within it still work. Think Batman without the money or the whole grimdark bit.

Movies: Inherit the Wind - always dangerous picking out a favourite movie, but with various American states still trying to push creationism in schools, it still has relevance and it would be interesting to see what modern film-makers would do with it.

Gaming: The Quest For Glory series - imagine it for a second the series remade into one game with full choice and consequences in it ala Mass Effect, a full re-imagining of the fifth game to bring it more into line with the older ones in the franchise, and mod support. It is about time we had a new lighthearted comedy in western RPGs.

The only way to remake Twilight and do it right is taking the basic premise (girl falls in love with a vampire in modern times) and just integrate good characters and a good story, eliminating the awful implications of the series.
It's already been done. It's called "True Blood" :)

You can certainly argue to about the quality of the series, but I liked it pretty well (or as much of it as I've seen, I've only watched through the first three seasons so far, I think). Certainly it is better than whatever that Twilight stuff is (I refuse to call it "vampire". Those are NOT vampires).

Let's see: My vote would go to "Blade Runner". The old Harrison Ford version is of course a classic, and you don't want to mess with that, but on the other hand, if it was done well, it could be a good time.

I'd say Krull because there were some cool ideas in there but it hasn't aged well.

For videogames... Gladius was a fun turn based strategy game where you recruited all kinds of interesting fighters like Minotaurs, Satyrs, and Dervishes for your school. I'd also like to see more Hunter games (like Hunter: Redeemer etc).

Super Metroid. Super Metroid all the way. Also, Final Fantasy VI. I would be completely content with a remake in the style of FFIV for the PSP (in fact, I think a remake like that would do the game most justice), but a FFIII-for-the-NDS-ish remake would be nice, too.

I know it already has a remake but Conker's Bad Fur Day. If not that, then the old Turok games with less shit controls and smoother gameplay in general
Yesssssss. Conker's Bad Fur Day so much. But only if they keep the original multiplayer modes. Was so pissed off when the Xbox remake didn't include them

Another one I want is HD Majora's Mask on the Wii U. Please Nintendo, make it happen already...
Also DK64.
I hope you know they already made a Bad Fur Day remake called Conkers: Live and Reloaded for the Xbox.

Err I know...that's why I said I was pissed off that the Xbox remake didn't have the original's multiplayer. Plus, the guy I was quoting mentioned the remake too..

Dune - It could be made into an epic film if given the chance. Thers the scope to create something truly memorable and unique but as is the current film is just a mess. They changed too much and dumbed down the story to the point where it's just a generic good v bad plot.

The Golden Compass - Would be amazing if it was made by someone who actually read the book.

I actually enjoyed the remake of Total Recall, I just wish they'd shown the director's cut in theaters, might have appeased the "purists" more.

Thematically, I'd like to see a return to cyberpunk.

Blade Runner doesn't need a reboot, but games influenced by it would be awesome. Shadowrun Returns is a great outing.

Some of those old adventure games, like Burn: Cycle and Hell could be fun. Fear Effect might also be cool to see.

Morrowind Morrowind Morrowind Morrowind! that game was hell lot of fun to play except for the fight mechanics and the graphics that game was top notch. If they remade it in HD that would be awesome.
You should play the Morrowind mod they made for Oblivion, they pretty much ported the entire territory over.

On that note, I'd love to see a remake of Arx Fatalis and Call of Cthulhu (or even reworked standalone "sequels").
