I finally took a break from my Gears of War 2 induced coma and downloaded it. I played with one of my friends and both of our first impressions were the same. Shit.
But after a while of playing we begin to get used to it and have a bit of fun. Sure it wasn't very scary, though I screamed (In a totally manly way) when I turned around to see the unstoppable chainsaw wielding monster getting ready to eat my dopey ass for din dins.
Coming from somebody with next to no experience with resident evil me and everyone I played with ended up with the same conclusion. Meh. It was a bit of fun for a laugh with mates, it seems to have way too much action to be scary and as an action game (which is how we all seemed to see it) it just doesn't hold up.

What makes me laugh is that everyone is bitching, yet it is a demo, save the flaming for when the game actually comes out guys!

Yes it's a 'demo' but is this not the 'demo discussion forum'?
As far as i'm concerned, everyone's just being honest about their experience so don't taze me bro.

Played this at a mates house after playing the demo of FEAR 2 (p.s wow)

This demo pissed both me and my mate off.

A glorified corridor shooter with clunky movements and a cumbersome camera.
I really don't understand how Capcom could let such an intensely emmersive series decay into this carbon-copy fail.
I think it'd be hard for most diehard fans to admit but if the entire game ends up reflecting what the demo had to offer, then RE's fanbase is the only thing that'll save this shooter from going arse up.

Whilst the graphics are nice and shiny and the explosions do look phenominal, i never ONCE in the demo felt anywhere near the amount of suspense or waryness that was so iconic about the earlier instalments of the RE series.
It was just simply, run...sorry i mean waddle, shoot, waddle. stop. inspect. waddle. shoot. chainsaw guy. waddle. shoot. etc etc.

A shameful attempt by Capcom if you ask me. Less money into graphics, more money into developing a horror-thriller extraordinare like you used to.
