I've played it for about 10 minutes and left it in disgust; it suffers from badly ported console game syndrome, and my major gripe is with the mouse controls. If they're going to take the effort to port the game you think they would at least sort out the mouse wouldn't you as its the primary control interface for shooters on the pc.... *sigh*Korten12 said:I loved the demo on PS3 and since its cheap on Steam right now, I am thinking of getting it.
Is it any good?
Also don't say "becuase it uses GFWL its bad" becuase I could really care less of what it uses.
hm... I might still get it, people said Saints Row 2 was a bad port and that only lagged and glitched on me once in 21 hours.Continuity said:I've played it for about 10 minutes and left it in disgust; it suffers from badly ported console game syndrome, and my major gripe is with the mouse controls. Just chalk it up to the list of games ruined by half arsed control porting, which sadly is growing at an alarming rate, bioshock 2 for example was almost ruined by it, and both bioshock and rainbow six vegas needed ini hacks to even be playable with a gaming mouse.... just lazy is what it is.

I don't ever really listen to the bad port arguments becuase for some reason I never seem to have any problems.
Its not that I am trying to be cocky its just what happens for me.Continuity said:Well aren't you lucky mr cocky.Korten12 said:hm... I might still get it, people said Saints Row 2 was a bad port and that only lagged and glitched on me once in 21 hours.

You can't tell me you didn't notice any problems with the mouse in bioshock 2!? its was simply awful, for one you had to hack an ini file to get the sens to a reasonable level, but even then the sens would vary though the levels with a mind of its own, and every time you go to the menu its resets your mouse settings again. Even a high sens gamers who left the setting alone would still notice the varying sens at the beginning of the levels and at transition areas... surely?Korten12 said:Its not that I am trying to be cocky its just what happens for me.
Vegas 2 worked well, Bioshock 2, Red Faction: Gurellia...
After struggling with the controls for a day or so I bought an XBox 360 controller to play the PC version of SR2. It works pretty well. The main problem with that game is that it's almost unplayable (cars handle like crap and frame rate drops to zero when there's a lot of action going on - as there is constantly) unless your playing on something that's significantly better than the 'recommended' system requirements.Korten12 said:hm... Odd, I downloaded and beat Resident Evil 5 on PC and my only gripe (besides the horrible inventory system) was the mouse acceleration which is fixed by turning off VSync.Continuity said:I've played it for about 10 minutes and left it in disgust; it suffers from badly ported console game syndrome, and my major gripe is with the mouse controls.
