Resident Evil - 6. Your opinions and predictions of it.

I have recently seen the trailers and the game looks like it will sell out soon after its offically released in my opinion. I was a bit dissapointed with 4 and 5 as it took the whole zombie survival experience away, and replaced it so you played it like a level-to-level story, rather than survival and maze like tasks which will test your endurance as you explore and fight/evade zombies from one room to another and back again (e.g RE-1).

The hostile groups in RE-4 and 5 you faced were not 'technically' zombies, but rather infected individuals under the influence of madmen due to a 'virus', some mutated horribly into powerful mosters. Dont get me wrong though I liked 4 and 5 and I still play them despite having complete the game to the point where I have unlocked and bought 'everything' 10x over.

Anyway, after watching the trailers this game has already got me waiting in excitement as the zombie apocalypes once again falls upon a unsuspecting city that im sure is to do with biological weapons and experiments. I like the idea of bringing in the main characters of the earlier series though im sure new characters will be thrown in. Leon looks as if he's gone rogue and it looks as if chris is a lieutenant of a recon squad or a small strike force. Im glad they've brought back zombies and judging on the trailers it looks like they have mixed both ideas of zombies and major genetic mutations.

Yeah, I'm with the other guy. The trailer looked /very/ cool, I have to admit, but it didn't tell us much, except for the idea of the story for it and new characters. I think it will be fun to play, and I'm excited to find Out who the new guy is.

Also, Leon is pretty sexy & so is Chris. The new guys not that bad looking ether ;D

I guess you have a good point there. I agree not much was shown apart from a new character and small clips of gameplay and cutscenes though im sure they will make more trailers soon. Has there been a trailer on T.V yet? If not then im sure there will be soon, hopefully with more details

As a fan of the series I'm looking forward to this one, although I'm really curious on who the new guy is. Steve Burnside, Billy Coen or just a new face.

Also just throwing this in here but I liked Resident Evil 4 and 5 wasn't that bad, in my own opinion. I felt like it was a nice break from the zombies, but at the same time I do think Capcom is making the right move in returning to the for Resident Evil 6.

Finally I want them to bring back the original Hunters and make them just as hard to kill as they were in the first game. 2-3 hits and the fuckers took your head clean off, they still scare me shitless.

It's not just the Hunters I want to see making a return, bring in.

My opinion in a nutshell:
Leon's part Fuck yeah!
Chris's part: Fuck no!
Other guy's: What the fuck?

I don't mind Resident Evil turning into an action game, but I do not want it to turn into a Gears of Evil shooter (even though I know Capcom are trying to turn it into a CoD game). Also the last dude just had the most terribly generic character design. Can you even think of something more bland?

Ok then readers let me ask this then. What changes do you hope for there to be in RE-6? This can be about anything from characters to enemies, weapons, battle systems, storylines, bosses or graphics and anything else you can think of and compare to the earlier game series.

Personaly I would like more action movements such as manual dodging like roll, slide, reversal, ducking and strafing left and right insted tapping a sinlge button to dodge. I can tell that wont happen though.

My prediction is that it won't be Megaman Legends 3. Crazy prediction, I know. I'm really good at these things, though, you can rest assured, it's true.

Sorry, I'm just a much bigger Megaman fan than a Resident Evil fan.

Okay okay, I predict that you will face more psuedo-zombies.

So we're gonna be in DC w/ Leon, some other city as Chris and I have a feeling in Europe as the new guy who I think is really HUNK. I just hope the game is at lease 18-24 hours so all 3 stories lines don't feel all rushed. Eventhough I think Chris is gonna get the short stick of the storyline.

My prediction is... It won't be a survival horror game, and it will be more action-y crap.

I know right? They were good games as action based but I wish they'd stick to survival horror. With 1, 2 and 3 you fight endless hordes of zombies even if you've killed them in one room already, soon enough you would be running or limping away from the hungry undead and thats what I miss the most. But still im looking foward to this game no matter what it is.

Leon's part is looking pretty cool. I couldn't help but get all nostalgic over that. I'm sure it'll do reasonably well yet the fanboys will hate it.

I havent played resident evil 4

I've heard the things about RES 5 (not playing)

if anything I would hope this one is good and accesible to somone wtih no knowelge of the franchise

i will play it IF i can play as Ada. And if she is in there, i want a larger story for her. like 3 to 5 times the length of Separate Ways.

I just don't have much faith in Capcom anymore.

I don't mind too much since I still have Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube, the best in the series.

The only thing I've seen of it is the logo and now I've seen a mocking of it I can't un-see it

But here's hoping that it's going to be good, me and a friend are planning to play through 5 again at some point before 6 comes out.
