We waited...and waited. I didn't know what to think. I hobbled over to David, trying to keep my stomach down.

"How long before they get here? I don't want to spend too long in here...Eryn, are you alright?" I could see her colour changing, she looked like she was going to be sick.

"Jason smith this is Byran Warson of A squad, request confirmed we will not shoot you on sight over". My head was starting to clear and I smiled slightly we'll need all the help we could get i think to myself.

I carefully stepped back toward the hospital alley and saw the soldier I'd saved walk out of it. "Hey" I yelled "Wait, If you want to find your squad come with me" I shouted at him than waited for his decision.

"I think I'm going to throw up." Eryn could feel the vomit in her throat. Covering her mouth with her hand only helped so much. She started to take deep breaths to try and help her relax. All she could smell was the blood and the rotting corpses. She had never seen anything like this and it was making her sick to her stomach. She turned to Thomas and said "Who do you think did this...who would be able to do such a gruesome thing."

 

[Grab-bag]

I entered the room, huming the A-team tune.
"Sorry im late guys wadda' I mi..." A smell of rotting corpses and blood hung the room. I looked around. A squad. My cousin was in a squad. Good job we didn't get on but it was a shock, and of what I think was the first time I had ever been lost for words.
"Shit! What the fuck?" Limbs had been torn off the victims, I wasn't to find my cousin after all. Eryn was crying and looked squeemish. she was in shcok.
"I feel fine, who ever else does should we clear up?" I looked around and walked over to Eryn, putting my arm round her and cradling her, bloking her vision from the corpses. she was only a kid and she had seen to much already.
"It's okay!" I reasured her and looked at homas, wonder what he was thinking about all of this. He was a hard faced man, yet showed so much emotion inside.
"So you okay Eryn?" I asked.

"Ok guys, we have got to think about this on a professional level. Forget about how everyone is feeling, we need to figure out how this happened." I was sick and tired of the sights that had befallen our eyes. I didn't care about anybody on the squad at this moment, what was important was the mission.

"Ok David...what are your thoughts on this?" I folded my arms, and rubbed my chin.

"I'll be fine. So what do we do know. Were dealing with things that can think. Do you guys think that people did this?" Eryn had her gun in her hand and waited for a response.

"Had to have been. These...creatures...I doubt they have any brain functions other than what is necessary to move and kill."

 

[Grab-bag]

"It probably was them. We know they can't open doors, they overall are, so to speak, brain dead. But they can rip people up darn good. But this is bigger, this was stronger, I doubt it was the 'zombies'." I was making a point that people were agreeing with.
"It could have been A dirty, sick minded personn or..some animals. Me and Kyle saw dogs that were infected so other species could turn aswell." I looked around. Thomas was in deep thought, Eryn was recovering and David was starring at the ground-also thinking.

"It must have been the been the creatures, this place must have took some time to build so more than one if them must have built it. And so far we've only seen dogs and the human type creatures (i refuse to call them zombies!),but this has been designed its not just randomly placed pieces of.....people". This just wasn't right every one was confused about what happened, i look around Eryn and Thomas was deep in thought and Rick was calculating what the creature that did this was.

I walked into the hospital, unsure wether or not the soldier was following me. All I knew was that I didnt care, all I cared about was getting to the generator room. I moved slowly looking around me to make sure i wasnt about to be eaten alive. After 10 minutes of wandering around the hospitals back door I went to a map and found out where I had to go. I set off towards the generator room and stumbled across 2 zombie dogs eating one of the security staff. They noticed me but before they could pounce i used the M1911A1 on them blowing there heads off. I continued on until I found the door I wanted. I stepped through and was immediatly disguisted. The mutilated bloody corpses were disgusting, but id seen worse before. The gun club occasionally had accidents which resulted in somebody losing a limb or two, and than there was my brief stint as a Private Investigator. I was on a major case that was gonna get me a couple hundred grand, and was approaching a warehouse where the person i was looking for was. When I stepped through I saw 30 bodys of various ages and genders mutilated in different fashions. This was almost as bad but not quite. I quickly looked around and saw all the soldiers id seen before. "So..." I said aloud "Looks like were all in this hell hole together huh?"

"Hey your the guy from the radio, good to see your alright". I grab his hand and give him a firm handshake. "Did you see our guy on your way here?"

"Yes I did. I told him to follow me but he obviously didnt." I return his handshake. "So what are all your names" I ask wanting to get to know group.

"I'm not sure what to think...I reckon we should forget about this right now, inspect everybodies wounds, maybe we can make a distinction between the creatures." I was using my head for once, I always worked on emotions, but this was too difficult to go on gut feelings...

"I agree with Thomas, we should try to figure out what killed us." Theses guys where semi-pro, but they were obviously shaken by the dead corpses. I really hoped they had no reservations about killing these zombies, after all they were already dead.

"Rodger that, Delta out" I said into the Raido. "Hey Rick, Seems like the Towns few remaining police forces may have tried to baracade in here, I'm finding alot of M-16's here. Maby Umbrella desided to deploy the UBCS forces here." I said looking at the spent caseings and several clips of un-used ammo. "Maby there still here?" I asked Rick. We both knew that was probly not going to be true, probly they were either zombies, or they had killed died some other way.

Eryn followed Thomas' orders. She looked around and saw nothing. She continued to look until one of the creatures wounds caught her attention. She called the rest of the group over. " It looks like its giant claw marks." Eryn was now more confused that she had been the entire mission.

"Claw marks? Not human, then. Some kind of animal? But what animal has claws like that?"

 

[Grab-bag]

"I would think they would come hear Kyle. Shelter, food, care, you have it right. Yet they possibly would be patrolling the area, they have probably turned. We should collect weapons as we go around and pick up the clips, should help us later on." I smiled at him. Thomas was giving orders and so was I. Eryn was coping and We were all boosting morale. It was good despite the fact we were surrounded by the dead. The new guy was getting stuck in. He knew the area quite well and he was putting forward his ideas, which was good. I gave him a pistol I had found earlier and spoke to him.
"Nice to see a human face!" I said to him and grinned.
