Resident Evil: Umbrella's City. Officially Ended!

We walked together down the hall, and my wife beckoned to me once again, she pointed towards a door, which had a plaque on saying "Documents", with full force I kicked the door through, and two zombies came towards us. I was in no mood, and threw them across the room. My illusion pointed to the huge draws filled with documents. I heard shots come from my companions gun, and then I ordered that he'd search them. I awaited his findings.

 

[Grab-bag]

I rumaged through the files for Thomas. I didn't want to argue, I could tell he was upset about something...but what.
"Um...Thomas, come here...now!" I had found the name Simm, and it wasn't a common name...

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"What is it?!" I tore open the seal on the folder and rummaged through the files.

I found my wife's name...

Angela Simm.
Test subject 963
Status: Unstable.

"What does this-" I turned to my friend to speak, but what greeted my eyes was a sight I could not accept at first glance.

A huge, flesh-composed monster stood infront of us, and didn't move. Then I what I thought to be my wife's ghost float towards the creature. She looked at me, nodded, and a single tear dropped down her silhouette, she then entered the creature and life sparked into it.

"Oh shi-...RUN!" I grabbed my friends hand and we sprinted for our lives as the creature charged towards us with malevolence.

 

[Grab-bag]

"Let me go! I ca face this bastard!" The monster was bigger than us and I knew it would kill me with a fight. The team were in sight and aiming behind us, ready to fire.
"Run! I'll Delay it!"

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"There is no way I'm leaving you...EVER!" I remembered what had happened with David, and I refused to let this fight bring it up again.

I tugged on an incendiary grenade from my belt and threw it directly behind the monster, knocking it over.

"Come on! Lets move! There is an elevator around the corner, if we can get to it, there is a small chance she can penetrate the metal!" The team looked at me strangely when I said that the creature was a she.

"I'll explain later, come on!"

Wow, this is a turn of events, nice job

Everything was happening to fast for me to comprehend, David had just ran, Eryn and Jason had been infected, I dident know what to do, The screams from the Giant flesh pile that was once Angela Simm and from Tom. My mind ached from the confusion, it wanted rest, it wanted peace, but in this hell hole, no peace was going to come. I desided to try to draw the monsters atention, I pulled out the Pair of glocks I had and began to shoot at what ever part of the monster I could, looking for somthing that seemed vital or looked like a head. "TOM! I GOT YOUR BACK!!!!" I called to him as began to fire into the pulsateing monstrosity.

I turned and drove a punch into the monsters face before running again to joiun the team. Kyle was ripping open a round of bullets and the others were aiming for the face. I joined Kyles side and shot at the monster.
"Happy birthday Kyle!" for a super human I still had my sense of humour...

I tapped rapidly on the elevator button

"Work you piece of shit!" The door soon opened, I grabbed everybody in a huddle and shoved them into the lift. I pressed the button to go down towards the surface.

"I'm sorry guys, this is my problem." I nodded to them all, as they descended.

I pushed the button on the walkie talkie.

"If I die, remember me, in case I don't, stay near the elevator and wait for me."

I had to do this alone. I had to release my wife from this terrible curse, if I couldn't do it for my wife, I couldn't do it for david.

"I'm coming back up this lift as soon as we hit bottom. You know that, right? I don't like team members dying from emotion overdose."

"No you're not, because I've blown the wiring, I'm gonna find my own way back down." I realised that I'd put my team in a difficult situation, but in the end, it was MY problem.

"I'm not being responsible for anybodies death but my own!"

I hesitated for a while, as did the monster. I think, deep inside, my wife's conciousness was still deep inside. The primal side of the infection came to play, and came straight for me. I ducked and leapt between the monster's legs, it's head smashing against the elevator door. I fired 2 shots from my pistol, I had 5 more bullets, I had to make them count.


I could swear that my team could hear the encounter.

Eryn was still unconscious. Thoughts raced in her mind. Some old and some new. She slowly woke to see that she and her team were in an elevator. She felt changed. Eryn looked the same but something about her was different. Sitting on the floor she got up. Noticing Thomas' red band in her hand. "What the hell happened?"

After being dazed, the monster stood again, ready to dry and do some more damage. I pulled out my combat knife, hoping to do some damage without wasting bullets. We charged towards each other and I lunged with my blade, the creature put out it's hand and it's flesh absorbed my knife, then it clutched my body and threw me into the wall. Just before I was going to black out, I noticed a hole in the creatures head, where it's brain was visible, it was all the motivation I needed. I was sure that the crashing and banging could be heard the level below.

Damn that hurt, now I was beginning to regret trying to leave, or at least that i didn't leave fast enough. Maybe if id moved faster David wouldn't have been able to bite me. The pain, it was so strong he was afraid he'd black out. He quickly steeled himself to it and stood, stooped to grab his gun and questioned why he drew it, probably a reflex thing but still it was empty. That thought made him pause. He pulled back the slide and saw that he still had one round left. I'll use that for when I turn into one of those THINGS he thought to himself. He looked around and saw that everyone else was tending to Eryn, he'd only scratched her, and argued with himself whether or not he should leave They might shoot me if they see i'm bitten he thought to himself. Thats just a risk ill have to take . He turned and started setting off towards the group, prepared to take them all down if they tried to kill him.

I ran back towards the elevator to engage step 1 of my plan. The brutish mind of the abomination made it charge towards me, once again I ducked, but this time the impact blasted the elevator doors through, now there was an opening to rejoin my team. I pulled out my gun and ran, as did the creature. I took advantage of the lighting and shot down one of the ceiling lights, making it fall on top of my adversary. My gun was in range, all I had to do was pull the trigger, but knowing that this was my wife. I couldn't. The creature stood up again and flung me across the corridor. It's balance was a little shakey, and it stumbled over quite a few times, those knocks to the head had given me the advantage. It looked me in the eyes, and I saw my wife's sihlouette around the outside of the creature. She also looked at me, she nodded, closed her eyes, and her face filled with tears. My blood was racing through my veins, I could feel all of the hatred that I had wanted to feel, Umbrella had done this to my wife, and Umbrella would pay, I had to set free my wife from this monsterous body. I charged towards it one more time, ready to deal the final blow.

"YOU'RE NOT, MY WIFE!!!!" I lunged towards the monster and put the pistol right next to the weakpoint. Before I shot the bullet, I whispered "You're free." I pulled the trigger and watched the thing writhe in pain before finally falling onto the floor and dying. My wife appearing to me once more, thanking me, then she vanished, and she didn't come again.

I walked towards the lift, grabbed onto the cables and slid down on top of the carriage that my team-mates were in. I kicked the panel through and opened the door to meet them.

I smiled to them all, laughed a little, then collapsed with exhaustion.

I rushed over to David as he collapsed. He fell to the ground rather hard, and was out cold when I got to him. I fireman slung him over my back, and pressed the button on the walkie.

"Everyone needs to regroup, meet us topside. We need to get to the surface and pursue David." I pressed the emergency button on the elevator to get us started again, and the elevator shuddered to life. We were slowly ascending towards Racoon City. I was just wondering where we would end up.

we were in the elevator, fleeing to the surface. I didnt said a word, but i took my pistol. I looked at Jason, then i stare at Eryn. They have been bitten. i know they have been.

I open the clip of my pistol to see how many bullets i still have in it. 4 left. i put the cip into the pistol, and put the pistol back into the holster. but i leaved my hand on it.

I looked at jason, and i stared at Eryn again...

"What have you made me do?"
The right thing David. I have made you do the right thing.
When I stopped running I found myself in the Lab entrance. Near the vine covered door leading to the hospital.
"Why have you brought me here?"
They are going to the surface, it's where you need to be.
I walked to the thorn covered door. They won't hurt you, you are one of them. I nodded, I reached for the door to peel the vines away but they retracted. I realised they were letting me pass. I turned the heavy valve with one hand, possible now with the powers of Ascension. I walked into the hospital, into the room where the Altar once stood. Don't close the door David. Let your family free. I shrugged, it did not matter to me.

I walked out the entrance of the hospital. And I noticed that the zombies still went for me, the infected didn't, but they still retained some loyalty to their own kind. I stopped to take in the surroundings. The car wreckages, the shuffling undead making their agonisingly slow way towards me. Then I noticed the dead SWAT team, except there was something different about them. I walked up to them, totally obliterating a zombie's head with my Glock on the way. Then I noticed the difference. It was C-Squad. Well, what was left of C-Squad. This was no zombie work. A BOW had been here. Limbs were strewn about and bodies lying in half covered the road. By the look of it the number of people in C-Squad was larger than A and B. Not that it mattered anymore. Umbrella had screwed us all in the ass. Could the enemy of my enemy be applied here? Would the group even accept my help? No David, no going back now. The roars of escaping creatures filled the night air, it was time to get moving.

Spoiler: Orders

When you reach the surface, I would like you to find a barricade. This is a chance for more players to join. For now though, the soldiers and policemen will be NPCs, controlled by me and you. Finally, find a pilot. No questions, just find a pilot. Preferably, a helicopter pilot. He will be an NPC and will never be owned by one person in particular. We will all use him. Keep him alive. Oh and give him a broken leg.

"Now...What?" I wanted to get fresh air, as cool as this new power was it was an ass to live with! I wanted something to kill, David came into mind...
