Resident Evil: Umbrella's City. Officially Ended!

I walked over to one of the newcomers in umbrella uniforms, and said 'Excuse me...im, er, dylan, Part of the racoon city police...who...no, What the hell was that ...thing? He..It, was wearing the same outfits as you, but he was like some sort of monster! Could I have some sort of explanation here?' I was a bit worried about the fact they all had MP5's and looked pretty battered and bruised, but I wanted anwsers...

"Nice to meet you Dylan, I'm Thomas. That thing was our friend...David Graham, he was infected by a monster and well...it took hold of him." I looked down to the floor, I blamed myself for what happened, but then, how was it my fault?

'Wait, what the hell infected him then? I thought it was only zombies! Do you mean to say theres more than that out there?' I cocked my pistol 'I dont want to die here...Well, moving on, What exactly are all you-' I gestured out towards the rest of the people in umbrella uniforms '-doing here? what would umbrella employees be doing out here so heavily armed? can you explain to me whats going on?' I asked him, and sighed, so much happening so fast - Zombies, Hiding out here, these guys showing up, and that thing attacking...they should at least make it clear who they were...

"Well...we're Umbrella Corp Mercs. They sent us here with only one intention as far as I can see, to test their knew product. As for David, I'm not quite sure, he was infected by a roach...I think, then we injected him with a strain of cure...that's when his...condition developed. What about you, why the hell are you people here? It's far to dangerous to be clean-up assignment." I looked at Dylan, he was freaked, I could tell.

'Well, I think those soldiers were sent here when this first broke out - But im here on my own account, Best place I found so far. Except for now your 'Friend' broke a hole in here! those 'zombies' will smell a group this large from miles. They are gonna be all over here pretty soon...either we leg it, or wait here and die...unless your group of 'mercs' can get us out?' I tried to act somewhat sarcastic, but I did hope they had a helicopter or something. this stuff was just getting too weird. I put my hand around my M9 for whatever comfort it could give.

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"I have no idea what's happening Dylan...I'm still pretty dazed after having my face smashed in, the zombies are slow...wait for everybody to come around first, then we can figure out where we are gonna head."

The policeman went and talked to the group. These people had attracted alot of attention in the little time they had been here,"Well...we're Umbrella Corp Mercs," he heard one of them say. This peaked his curiousity. He walked up to the one who was speaking to the cop,"How did you survive outside of the barricade, I've lost three full squads out there."

"I'm sorry...and you are?" I knew I was speaking out of line by asking his name, but seeing as humans were in short supply here...I thought it was nessecary.

"Well, most of our survival was luck...and the knowledge that you've gotta shoot them in the head, I assume most of your squads were just firing away?" I felt very judgemental at this time. I had to be critical with them.

Joshua Richardson Sergeant First Class, and I could ask you the same, as for my soldiers I wish I had that information sooner I'll make sure the word is past on. Do you have any info on Umbrella's intentions or how the hell this all happen.

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"I'm Thomas, Thomas Simm, and I have no idea as to what Umbrella are planning. We were sent to locate a generator, and then we were thrown into this mess. You were sent by the government I assume?"

"Yes, reports of mass rioting sent in the National Guard, but when non out of 6 squads reported back we were sent in." Joshua pinched the bridge of his nose,"When we got here it was a mess, it seemed like a riot, so I sent three squads to scout but got no response, I went out with another larger group and encountered some of our little friends here. We opened fire, but the bastards kept coming; we managed to get back here and have held off waves for the last six hours."

 

[Ashbax]

I stood listening to the soldier and the merc converse, then butted in, talking to thomas 'Yeah, we've been fighting them off for hours, and now becuase of your friend they are gonna be all over us very soon, and this time they can get through!' I yelled at him, then regretted it. 'Er, sorry...I'm just a little paranoid...'

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"No, I understand, this nightmare probably won't end. You did well to last the 6 hours that you did. Believe me, our squad can keep things calm for a while, take a rest. Oh, and grab this."

I picked up the last two cans of Coca-Cola I had obtained from the vending machine inside the hospital and threw them to Dylan and Joshua.

"Bottoms up!" I ran off, taking position to clear out the remaining hostiles.

I caught the can, a bit taken by surprise, and stared at it for a few seconds while thomas ran off loading his MP5. I cracked open the can wondering where he was going, then heard the moans and gunshots, he almost dropped the can running off, remembering about the zombies, and Pulled out his M9, but he only managed to kill one of them, as the mercs had killed most when he arrived. 'Well, you guys are...thorough. Although, seeing as unless we keep a 24 hour watch here they will get through becuase of this hole, we should really get someone to repair it.' I took another slug from the can. I hadnt had this stuff in a long time, and was enjoying it, seeing as thanks to these guys its probably gonna be the last thing I ever drank...I reloaded my M9 for want of something to do, and walked off muttering 'someone fix the goddamn Barrier please..'

Joshua walked towards the broken barrier, coke in hand, and knelt down to examine it, "Shit," he thought to himself.

I sat down on a peice of rubble and drank my coke, pondering over wether its really worth it to fight for your life when you know your going to die eventually...Meh, I guess taking down as many zombies with you as possible is something that might be fun...

Eryn looked at the strangers who had just walked over and introduced themselves. Looking at them quickly then turning to look away.
Come on Eryn. You know you want to kill them. You know you want to cut them up into litt...

"Shut up..." Eryn said quietly making the voices in her head stop.

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"Eryn, I'll keep you covered, push that barricade back together!" I gave the order, but she seemed reluctant to follow it. I went over to her, it looked like she was undergoing the same mental process as David. I grabbed her hand, and then showed her my red band. I looked up at her and smiled.

"Come on Eryn." I said whilst keeping a happy face. "We're all with you, you've got so much to acomplish."

I closed her fist to that she was holding the band in her hand. I guess I was hoping that it would make her come back to us.

I got back into position and awaited Eryn's response.

"Alright." The voices had stopped and Thomas seemed to lighten the situation. Holding the band in her hand she tied it around her wrist. Eryn went near the barricade. Pushing the barricade together while Thomas and the others covered her.

"That's my girl!" I cheered and waved, supporting her through her tough time. My time of rejoice was cut short when I looked down. I felt a tugging at my trousers, it was a zombie, it seemed stronger than most, and it pulled me over, it brought it's teeth towards my neck and prepared to take a bite.

I closed my eyes, thinking that I was going to live my last moments.
