I heard someone with a foreign accent knocking on a door outside the alley somewhere 'Help!' I yelled, then decided against it,

'No, Actually, Run! there is an infected madman nearby! he is extremeley dangerous! He has sent B.O.W's after my friends...Leave me here, run for your life! if he hears you your dead!' I would find my own way out of this mess - I didnt want anyone else to get hurt.

'You have to get out of here...!' I yelled a bit more quietly, remembering david was somewhere nearby.

I heard a soft yelp in the alleyway next to the station, and drew my gun. I stayed silent all the while hopping off the front stoop. "No, actually, run!" the voice called out. I turned the corner only to find Dylan sitting in the alley next to a dumpster.

"Dylan" I cried out, and ran over to him. "Here, let me help you man." I holstered my pistol and walked over to Dylan, only to be greeted by the hot, sick, rotting smell of a corpse in the dumpster. "Oh God man, what is that smell." I offered Dylan my hand, and helped him up "Can you stand okay?"

'Rico! Nah, I cant stand too well - im gonna need some help. But we are going to need to get out of here first of all...David has Thomas, I heard david go into one of the buildings a few minutes before you Arrived.'

Thank god Rico showed up, I thought.

'I think hiding out in the barricade would be a good idea - I got split off from the rest of a group when some of davids monsters attacked us, I wasnt fast enough, And I doubt the group is coming back. anyhoo, We need to move.'

"Wait, what? David took Thomas, when did that---Nevermind, let's just get you off of that leg before you hurt it even worse" I said. "I don't think the barricade is the safest spot. We should hunker down somewhere and radio the team before doing anything. I took my walkie out of my pocket and handed it to Dylan. "See if you can hail someone on that thing." I started to walk in the back door of the police station when I heard gutteral moans from inside. I decided against facing off with zombies for the time being. I looked at my surroundings and decided the next best course of action would be to find a building nearby. I spotted a hotel just across the street, that had a good view of the surrounding area. I gave my pistol to Dylan, and told him to cover us as I helped him across the road. We made it to the front door, and a swift kick sent the door reeling open. I set Dylan on the ground, and bolted the door shut again.

I turned to Dylan "Any word?".....

I gave back ricos pistol when we got across, 'I dont need it anyway' I gestured the M9 in my Holster.

I got up and slowly limped inside the building. I heard feasting noises upstairs, then looked back to rico and shook my head. I then gestured to a building a bit across the way that had all the lights off inside except for one room, it looked empty. Probably an apartment. 'Lets check there instead...'

As we walked over there I remembered something 'Also, when my leg gets a bit better, im going to go search this area for thomas, you in..? I dont want to just leave him...'

"Yeah, no way am I about to leave that pendajo. But first we need to find somewhere to hunker down, and get some rest. I haven't had any sleep since our insertion into this city."

I slung Dylan's arm around my shoulder again and flew across the street to the building he had spotted before. Hopefully this building would have more hospitable inhabitants. Another kick and the door flew in. I let go of Dylan, and stepped inside...

Thomas was taken by David, Things were starting to spiral again. I thought I was losing my sanity, not like Dylan, but more like somone else traped in a hopeless situaition. "Eryn, What do we do now?!" I said looking at Eryn while fireing at the rapidly advanceing Cyclopes.

When we arrived in the apartment Rico helped me up the stairs, we had agreed that a higher floor would be better, in case zombies arrived and we had to destroy the staircase. When we passed a room on the third floor we heard muffled groans - but not the kind a zombie would give off. Although I was too frightened and paranoid to investigate right now so we just passed it. two doors down We found a not too shabby, unlocked apartment. 'Should we hole up here and check out that room later..?'

"Uhh, sure. This looks satisfactory, but I think we should check out that room now. Who knows, there could be survivors, and they might need our help."

"Fine...But I'm not going to just burst in...' I pulled out my M9 and knocked on the door. 'Hello? This is R.P.D, We are looking for two men named thomas and david! If you are a survivor, or you know there whereabouts, open this Door!' I awaited a response. I heard something like 'Huh?! that you?! Its m-!' But then whoever spoke mustve been cut off becuase all I heard was Muffled attempts at speech. I glanced over at Rico quizzicly...Whoever it was Mustve recognised, or at least thought they recognised,my voice. I tried kicking the door down, but the locks and doorframe were too strong. I picked up my radio and set it to the frequency I overheard Eryn and Thomas talk about at the Barrier. 'Guys? This is Dylan, Come in over.'

Sh^t Eryn thought to herself. Everyone was asking her what to do. She was no leader. She was a follower. Thats what she told Thomas the first he left her alone to watch after the group. Now he was gone, David and Jason were monsters, and so was she.

The cyclops' came closer and closer. Eryn's mind was blank.
What the hell am I supposed to do!?!?

Suddenly she heard a voice over the radio. She picked it up.
"Dylan? Dylan where are you?"

He said they were in an apartment. Eryn turned to the rest of the squad.
"Run and shoot. Were going to the apartments."

Turning her radio she radioed back to Dylan.
"Dylan tell me your exact location, we're all going to meet up asap."

 

[Ashbax]

"Uh, Uh, its the Greenish-Yellow Building three doors down and across the road from the RPD station, Rico is with me. And uh, I think I've found David..."

I raised my eyebrows at Dylan and whispered "should we kick it down? I'm behind you 100% Dylan." I waited for his answer.

They gathered the other weakened soldiers and made a run for it. Eryn heard Dylan's response and stopped while the rest of the group ran on ahead.

Damn...no matter where we go were always facing something that can kill us..

Looking back she saw the cyclops' running after her. She yelled at the rest of the group to run to the apartments. Telling them were Dylan told her it was. She would keep the cyclops' distracted. At least until she could make her escape. Shooting her gun she shot one multiple times. It fell onto the floor. But it seemed where one died another would just appear.

Damn...

"try kicking it if you want, but I think its barricaded...and if david really is in there, busting down the door isnt smart." I fumbled with my radio for a few seconds "Eryn, can you read me? Whats your position?"

Shooting one cyclops after another Eryn finally ran out of bullets. Her radio burst with sound. It was Dylan on the other line. "I'm fighting the cyclops', the rest of the squad is headed your way now be ready for them."

"We can wait for Eryn and the team to get up here." I slumped down against the wall, pulled a cross out from under my shirt, and started praying. For those lost...dead...captured...

I whispered to myself, "Hang in there, Thomas."

I put a hand on Rico's shoulder "If im right and this wont just embarrasingly be any random Survivor, then we need everyone before breaking in." I pushed a button on my radio and said into it 'I can hear the gunfire. your close. keep running.'

I opened my eyes after pretending to be unconcious...David was not aware of my situation, and he was trying to sleep. These cuffs were virtually impossible to break out of. With all my strength I pulled up the chair and began ramming it on the wall, trying to smash it apart. Two chair legs snapped off, and David began to stir.

"Fuck fuck FUCK!" I started smashing it even harder against the wall.

"Yes!" It broke the arms off of the chair and I could move my wrists again.

David had left a window open unintentionally, underneath was a canopy, which would make for a perfect landing. I got over to the window, and turned around...
