Battle Tanx :Global Assault. Greatest co-op arcade tank game in existence. I haven't been able to find a better tank game since.

Pretty much all the latest and greatest have been mentioned. From Paper Mario and Mario Party 1-3, to Perfect Dark, all are great choices.

How about some ports?
[ul]
[li]I would recommend the Duke Nukem 3D port, Duke Nukem 64. Pretty much the same game, but with 2D sprites, some references to drugs and sex were toned down for the Nintendo family-branded console, and a new gun.[/li]

[li]Or perhaps the Quake port?[/li]

[li]Gex 64 (port of Gex: Enter the Gecko) and Gex 3 are chock full of parodies and homages to 90's culture, and tongue-in-cheek humor.[/li]
[/ul]
Outside of ports, I would recommend
[ul]
[li]Castlevania, unofficially dubbed Castlevania 64. It was Konami's first foray of the Castlevania series into the third dimension.[/li]

[li]How about some Rush 2049? You can do stunts and drive in obstacle courses![/li]

[li]Wipeout 64 has great, fast paced racing. It is the third game in the series of combat-racing games. Tracks are oriented for precision racing and you'll see less loops and crazy climbs as you may see in an F-Zero game. Instead of expecting an F-Zero feel, jump in expecting an Extreme-G game (another great racing game in a line of motorcycle grand-prix games), but with no grip to the road and an emphasis on drag and drift. Ah, and the techno soundtrack is pretty good too.[/li]

[li]Any of the Mario sports games such as Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, etc.[/li]
[/ul]
Enjoy the N64!

Well, I guess I'll have to look without the ol' Nostalgia goggles here.

Recommendations
Majora's mask.
It's aged significantly better than Ocarina of time. It tells a daker tale, and has a much more involved and immersive world. The time rewind mechanic means many characters have a full schedule through the three days, the world never feels static, always moving. It's the greatest example of a persistent world in near any game, since so much can happen concurrently.

Banjo Tooie.
I see a lot of people going for Kazooie, but honestly the sequel is ten times better, and again especially, it aged better. Kazooie did it first, but Tooie did it better. It's huge, and open world, with plenty to do. Many of the worlds are connected in more ways than you think, and some of the level design is truly staggering even today. (Hailfire Peaks being the best example.)

Star Fox 64.
It's the best on rails shooter I've ever played, that's for sure. It hasn't been beaten since. It has some flaws (most notably no level select), but combat feels great. Deflecting lasers with your memetastic barrel roll, firing a well timed bomb into clusters of enemies, getting that ridiculously freaking hard medal... The standouts still stand out today.

Disrecommendations.
Donkey Kong 64
If someone recommends it, don't believe their scurillous lies. It's all nostalgia, that game was ass. It was Rare phoning it in, and it's weak sauce. Utter weak sauce. Just stick to the banjo games, and forget all about it.

Goldeneye.
Aged like meat left outside to rot. Just get Perfect Dark, way better game. It's aged substantially too, but it's much more advanced than Goldeneye. some of the level design and weapons are still pretty fresh today even, as well as the free form objective based approach. Anyway, next to PD, goldeneye has nothing left going for it.

The N64...retro; oh my god, I feel so old! *hugs his N64* Shhh, it's okay they didn't mean it.

Nothing to add to the list that hasn't already been said sadly; all the greats are here far as I can see.
This was exactly my reaction.

...I'm not that old... am I...?

Anyways, as the person I quoted said, all the greats have already been said, but I'll reiterate that you should get Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Majora's Mask, and Super Smash Bros, if nothing else. All classics, all amazingly fun.

Enjoy the N64!
Haha don't worry guys i'm only 19! Not THAT old ;)

Not to mention one of the most hilarious storylines of all time.

Can't recommend much that hasn't already been said. I remember Mario Party 2 being a blast to play with friends, so get that if you don't have any other Mario Party games (You only really need one, even if there are a bajillion out there). Try combining it with drinking games once you get bored with it. Unless you're underage of course, that would be irresponsible. *ahem*

Most games I would recommened have already been mentioned.

You should try Blast corps, it's a pretty underrated game.

I always liked Pilotwings 64, Mario Kart could be worth a look too.
Definitely these two. Good luck finding pilotwings though, but man I loved that. You already have Goldeneye taken care of, just throw perfect dark and Battletanx in there, and might as well pick up the N64 Duke Nukem 3D. Edit: Rogue Squadron, for the love of all that is holy, get Rogue Squadron.

Are you serious? Perfect Dark looked worse than GoldenEye and had significant frame drop during firefights, required the expansion pack to access most of its features, featured some weapons that were simple dumb (see: a gun that shoots through fucking walls), had a worst storyline owing to its non-007 lineage, and had inferior missions. The only thing it really had going for it compared to GoldenEye was its challenge mode--the best part of the game--and its bot support.

There's a reason GoldenEye tends to rank in the upper band of 'Greatest Games Ever' lists, and Perfect Dark doesn't.

EDIT: If you are going to play Perfect Dark I would recommend the XBLA remake, which gets rid of the blurry textures and slowdown and adds Xbox Live support for only ten dollars--less than PD for N64 might fetch at a used game store.

My two personal favorites are as follows.

First there was Winback. It was a really cool game and was way ahead of it's time. It was a cover shooter and you were charged with infiltrating an office building for one reason or another (it's been forever, can't remember the plot.

My second all time favorite was Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs. It was just an awesome game, think jumping tanks on the moon! The combat was awesome, the physics were unprecedented and thenks you piloted were just amazing.

Aside from that there's Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Starfox 64, Super Smash Bros, Perfect Dark, Battle Tanx and Battle Tanx: Global Assault.
