Well I'm a judge, so I get to read them all I've read and given my verdict on all of the entries that have been handed out so far. They're pretty ace, guys.

Sorry guys, sadly, I am forced to drop out of this one.

With my character's return in The Ratings War, the show that I was reviewing being pulled off air when I needed it, and 5 assignments due in about 2 weeks, I'm forced to quit.
Sorry, I really wanted to do this, but the timing of the comp was bad for me. I will, however, join the next competition when it comes.

To answer a few questions I've been getting:

-You're welcome to post your reviews once the results are in.
-X.5 is allowed in scoring, but nothing more specific. Final scores will be to one decimal place.
-I'll hopefully have some time to ask the competitors I haven't recieved anything from if they need an extension later this evening. Otherwise, I'll give an extension for my tardiness.

I apologize if this competition seems a bit messy or sloppy right now.

After readng Say Anythings Pokemon review I think I forced to much emphesis on the "guilty pleasure" section - where we suppossed to review a game as "normal", or, as I had done, change the style to match the topic-on-hand?

Either way is correct, in fact, if anything writing it with a twist can only add to the originality score I would think.

I wrote mine exploring why it's a guilty pleasure rather than writing a straight-up review. The 'essay' format thing kind of made me go that way rather than writing a lock,stock review for the thing.

Say Anything did Pokemon as well? Ha! Guess more people want to like that game than we let on

Um, I also wrote my review as a normal review, I thought that's what we were supposed to do. Exploring the idea why it was a guilty pleasure would have made me sound like too much of a fanboy I thought. That was my perspective though.

Unless the deadline has extended, I'm afraid I have unceremoniously been disqualified. I've worked 12 hours in the past two days at work, not even mentioning my classes and social obligations on Friday. I got tapped out for time. I still have plenty to write this weekend, so looks like the phrase for the week is "No rest for the weary."

L4K, get back to me if I can send you a preliminary draft for the contest. Otherwise, my apologies to everyone for not having submitted, and it's a shame I couldn't get involved. I have no one to blame but myself, though.
