Kickin' things off, I have no idea why they had to change the links to the podcasts in the RSS feed into an undownloadable HTML file: I know you can copy and paste the link into iTunes, but my pc doesn't have iTunes, and why should I have to get one when the old method worked so well? Please change PLEASE!
I like Extra Credits and everything done by the LRR crew. EDIT: Also I love Miracle of Sound's stuff.
I don't like that Doraleous and Associates and Top 5 With Lisa Foiles has been gone for so long and I don't like The Jimquisition (not disrespecting the show or anything, but it just isn't for me.)
I'd want to change the fact that Community tab rarely gets updated anymore if at all. The rest of the site can be pretty much left alone.

I like...well, I like the forums, and I like Zero Punctuation. I've got quite a few issues withe the videos, but without wanting to spoil a potential thing that I might or might not end up doing, I may be doing formal reviews of The Escapist's shows in the future. A really, really good site though. Forums are great, content is great, news is timely and well-written. In my ever-so-humble-but-totally-right opinion, this is the best gaming site out there.

I like it. The community is OK and there's some really cool people as contributor's here. There are things that can be improved upon, IMO, but these things are minor at best and given that I'm not completely in the know about WTH goes on at Escapist HQ, not my area to complain about. All-in-all, it's a pretty happenin' place daddy-o complete with your usual people, your weird people, your stylin' people, your trollin' people and people you aren't completely sure that they're even people.
like how friendly and funny everything is yet I hate the grammar nazi's and the fact that if you like rap and don't believe in evolution your labeled a idiotic fuck up with no taste in music. At least from what I seen any ways. What ever though it beats /b/.

I wouldn't say 'idiotic fuck'. More, 'willfully ignorant'. I can't see how anyone in this day and age wouldn't believe in evolution unless they intentionally ignored all the evidence for it. Same with global warming.enzilewulf said:

well see for me that post was a rant because really its stupid how carried away people (like me) get when it comes to evolution. I do believe in it but I respect others views where other people on this forum get carried away and think your a idiot when mainly you probably don't wish to deal with the topic at all. I don't call that ignorance as much as "I don't want to seem like a dick about religion or evolution, so I choose to keep my believes to me and talk about sports or games with my mates other than talk and have a argument about evolution that will get us no where except to the land of smug" Just because they don't see what you see has no reason to go bad shit crazy on their ass. Lots of Informational stuff I really like: Big Picture, Extra Credits, Jimquizition offer a really critical look at our culture.

note that I'm not a professional reviewer, so yeah... 8.5/10

Zero Punctuation and Extra Credits are awesome. I like Moviebob too...sometimes.
But let's see if I can say this without being yelled at, everyone here is super pretentious. And I mean everyone, including the users. So yeah, I'm pretentious too.
Is being pretentious a bad thing? No that's how most critics are, but sometimes it's just annoying to see people act like they know everything. And yes I realize that I do that too.

Been here a while. So you lot know that I must like at least one thing about the place to keep coming back. Mostly it's the forums. I think I might be addicted. Sometimes I even post from my phone, as annoying as doing that is sometimes I just have to.

Respect has to be earned, it's not something given. I don't have to respect an opinion that is so evidently wrong. Now that doesn't mean I can't still respect the person with that opinion, and by doing so not call them a jerk, and idiot, or any other choice name.

With regards to the forums; the moderation often seems a bit weird, and the sheer volume of repeat threads annoys the crap out of me. But this is the only website I'm an active member of, so perhaps this is the case all over the internets.
Content wise, I like pretty much everything. I read most of the news/articles, and watch most of the reviews/videos. I love all the comic strips on this site.
Haven't heard much from Shamus Young in a while, he's probably my second favourite thing on here (Yahtzee being the obvious favourite), and I'd like to see more of him; but that's him, not the site. And I still have his own website to enjoy.

I like Shamus Young, MovieBob, Yathzee, Jim Sterling and Extra Credits, and the stuff they contribute to the site. The forum community is fairly okay for the internet (although the repeat threads are getting annoying) and I like the strict moderation. The reviews are usually pretty good too, although I think it is a shame that they will use the console version of a game whenever possible, even though I think some games are far better on PC and I think the majority of people on the forums are PC gamers.
As for the negative: The news is absolutely fucking horrible, because it is so incredibly biased, almost always contains opinions of the news writer presented as fact and they use the most sensationalist and/or inflammatory headlines.
I also have the feeling that they are trying to bully people into becoming members of the pub club. I'm not having a lot of trouble with the ads, but a while back there were a lot of people who claimed they had problems. I don't get why we need to have the captchas and the age verification things for videos though. I'm already logged in, they know who I am (i.e. not a spammer) and what my birth date is.

Well see I am just curious as to why any body here really cares. I mean isn't this a place for video games and video game related news? Yet I meet such stuck up people on the whole evolution thing its really hard not to just post a simple "shut the fuck up". I mean I saw some one post that they wouldn't be friends with people who didn't believe in evolution and it only raises the question: Why? do you really crave to look like a intellectual dick that much that you wouldn't be friends with them? now if they are spraying some bible thumper bull shit and hating on your view then that's totally fine but for people who just practice their beliefs and don't really say anything on the subject to get that disrespected is just plane stupid.manaman said:
