question is what is the most ridiculous DLC you have ever had to pay for. It can be something that wasn't worth the money or something that should have been included in the game or whatever.

EDIT: Nevermind what was originally here. Just me being a moron and complaining about nothing. Sorry.
Horse Armor for Oblivion, I wish I never did plus it should come with game.

Look man it's just very simple. You bought the game second hand. So how can you possibly make demands from the people that designed the game if you didn't contribue with maintaining their work?

You get what you pay for.
I'm with this guy.

I've never actually purchased a DLC for any game, but the side missions for Mass Effect 2 really tempt me, though.

I want to find out what happens with Liara and the Shadow Broker...
I don't have any philosophical opposition to DLC, so I bought Shadow Broker and Overlord for ME2. I think both are very good DLC and quite worth the money.

If DLC didn't exist then things like the upcoming Arrival DLC for ME2 (bridging it to ME3) would never exist. Of course DLC can (and often is) abused, but I wouldn't use this to rule out any and every DLC out there. Developers take notice of what sell and what doesn't.

EDIT: And if by chance you're a Liara fan (like myself), you'll love Lair of the Shadow Broker :)

I'm with you there. ME2 is the only game I've ever been tempted to buy DLCs for. The only reason I haven't is because the DLC isn't on Steam. I refuse to pay for "Bioware Points" for it.

Pretty much my position on DLC, while I don't mind it too much, I can tell when they've pulled something out of the game just so they can make a quick buck and it can be annoying. However sometimes, we get DLC which expand upon the game, stuff like Shadow Broker and the up and coming arrival. So yeah, I'll accept the few cheap cashing DLC's if it opens the potential for having DLC that expands upon the game (which is what I think DLC should be for anyway).

That being said, I don't really often complain about DLC, if I think its shit, I don't buy it. Simple as that, no need to throw it down people throats and throw a temper tantrum about it.

If I pay over 500SEK (~47$) for a game, I'd better get a complete damn game for my money!

DLC is just getting abused to hell.

You don't have to buy the DLC. You can just torrent it.

(Yeah this is just to piss of all the people in this thread that spout that stupid developer garbage that buying second hand games hurts the industry, and other such bullshit.)
All atempts at trolling should come with these warning labels. Nicely done. ^_^

Undead Nightmare for RDR. It sounded awesome; cowboys and zombies. The novelty wore off very quickly though. I gave up and played Alan Wake instead.

Fail troll is fail.
First part is likely to get Mod Wrath, so I lol'd.
I just lol'd at his "Yeah this is" part.

I usually don't have a problem with DLC. Add-ons on the side aren't a very big deal, and it's money that goes directly to the company, which means I might get more of the things I like later. I'm okay with this. The most ridiculous I've bought was probably the Just Cause 2 stuff, like the monster truck. That was just silly, haha.

I don't know. I've bought all the ME2 and DAO dlc and never got the feeling it was 'ridiculous'.

I consider certain digital products like minipets and mounts to be absurd, but real content is fine as a DLC, never mind whether we think it should have been included with the retail box.

*shrug*

Woah lots of hate against used games in this thread, I've always brought used primarily. Anyway the worst DLC I have brought? Ehh I'm not really sure, I don't buy DLC that often - mainly because I only have a crappy 20GB HDD. Probably the Noble Map Pack for Halo reach, 800 points for three maps is too much.
