I find it hilarious that people are convinced PCs are pirated more than consoles, and that consoles are somehow cheaper. Really, computer games are not dying out, piracy and cost are much bigger threats to consoles than PCs (how long were PS3s being sold at a loss?).
I've said it before, but I'll throw it out there again, in the time I've had my computer I've gone through two consoles, an xbox and an xbox 360, both now obsolete compared to my (still top end) computer. I think all up I've spent maybe $1000 more on the PC (not counting the cheaper games, I can't be bothered working out actual savings). At $650 per console upgrade (I'm not spending $1000 on a game console, now matter how blue the disk drives are) my PC will be cheaper within two generations (next gen my ram may need replacing, but that's it, so I'll dump ~ $50 on the PC).
And piracy, I am a pirate, I don't hide the fact, if I can get something for free I will. I have no more loyalty to game publishers than they do to me, I owe them nothing more than they owe me (incendently I do buy some games, it would be a crime to pirate say, demigod). Of the 28 games in my games folder 6 are pirated (counting both diablo 2 and it's expansion, as the cds disapeared a long time ago). On my xbox alone I have ~ 40 pirated games, the ratio of pirated PC games to pirated console games is very similar with my friends, and I haven't coutned pirated 360 and DS games. Just because people are willing to ***** more about PC games being pirated doesn't mean that it happens moreso. Go to you're local open market and check out the hundreds of pirated games they have one sale. Go to bali or indonesia and marvel at the hundreds upon hundreds of pirated games they have for sale, most of which are console.

EA has never have good Console to PC ports, and you seem to be forgetting, Consoles are susceptible to piracy too.
And how might consoles be pirated?
Mod chips. My friend has a modded ps2 and downloads all his games. I have a modded ps1 and download some games once in a while (I couldn't find any ps1 games in stores anyway). If I'm correct, the only current gen console that can't be pirated is the ps3.
You're not. It's just very expensive to download and burn you're own blue rays, so the PS3 is less worth pirating. You can still find people who mass burn PS3 games though (or at least so I hear), so you can buy pirated games.
