One time I got a crush on someone and they liked me back, so I didn't get rid of it before it became a problem.
THAT WAS PRETTY SILLY OF ME

I started crushing on a girl from my school, but never wanted to tell her because I never knew where I stood with her; some days she'd act like my best friend and others she completely ignored me. So, instead, I told a good (and until then) trusted friend, just to get it off my chest. She decided to tell the girl I liked in class, when the teacher had gone, but just then the whole room went silent. The other girl simply looked at me and said that she 'hated my guts', before realising the reason everyone had shut up: the teacher had returned and the headmistress had arrived at the same time, showing people around the school. The mother of the pupils being shown around just gave me a sympathetic look and I left as soon as they were gone. :S

Fuck girls. They are just nothing but trouble.
Ok thats a bit harsh, I just havent had that much luck with it myself, on account of having a pretty rough time in high school. The concept of me having a crush on sombody would of been considered the ultimate low for that person. Girls THREATENED me when rumors started flying about them. I have had one relationship before that lasted exactly two weeks because I (not her) could not cope with the pressure.

A girl I really liked asked me who I liked. I really wanted to just say "you, I really like you" but sadly she had just told me that she liked another guy and I couldn't very well tell her how I felt without making an ass of myself. So I lied and said no one. Now we have gone our separate ways and I will likely never see her again... fun stuff.
Gah, the same exact thing has happened to me too ('cept that me and her are still friends). It's a proper shite feeling... But it's ok now, as I'm not having any of those feelings for her

Have faith dude, things will get better. The key to these things is your attitude; have confidence and belief in yourself and others will too. The ladies love it when guys are completely comfortable with who they are, and if you're not, you can always fake it!

The worst part was we were working on a project together so I had to see her a lot after that.

It could of been worse... one of my friends was dumped while working on a project with his now ex.... lets just say they didn't get very good marks for it...

In short, I decided to tell my friend who couldn't keep a secret if you hid it in his ass that I sorta liked this girl. Within 48 hours, I get a text from another friend saying "So, you like (blank) huh?". Turns out that my friend felt the need to tell the girl for me.

So I walk into school on friday full of dread, and my friend gives me a note. It's from the girl, saying she's currently with someone, but would like to get to know me better. The following monday at lunch, she asked for my phone. When I gave it to her, she put her number in my phone book.

School ended that friday, and being totaly chicken shit I had decided to wait until summer to call. When I did, it said that the call could not be completed as dialed.
Something similar happened to me:

-A girl wanted to get to know me better. But, I think I came on a little strong. That scared her off and she didn't look at me for the rest of the school year. :p
Showing your "parts" is never a good way to get girls ;)

I went out to a bar with this guy that I really liked, got drunk thought "WHEY-HEY, acton for me!" just as I tried to kiss him he said "oh sorry I thought you knew I was gay!" and then if that wasnt bad enough I threw up on him. Not my finest hour.

Pretty much that. I'm single, so every relationship I've had has been a failure, yes?

Sure, a couple are more "fail" than others. The worst though, is probably one I had shortly before going to college...she was still in high school, and some assclown convinced her I'd cheated on her (I hadn't), and when she was dumping me, she said she'd been planning on dumping me anyway since I was going to college. Then of course she moved to another state and became a lesbian.

The rest are much more typical screw ups.

Yup I've had the whole tell a mate about a girl thing...only to have them go and tell her...This is currently the situation I'm in at the moment. Hence my dreading of going back to college on monday... Because I know for a fact there going to say Hi...

Thats the most current "Possible" Fail.

I've had many others, though. None of which I can be asked to type at the moment ( My laziness may have been the problem for all of them? )

My only romantic fails are when I didn't do anything when I liked someone. Otherwise I guess it's all turned out fairly well. I don't take it too seriously when someone says no to me, so I don't count it as failure. Closest fail was probably when I didn't realise someone liked me for half a year. Meaning I unintentionally led someone on for six months. I ended up never speaking to them again, after telling them that I wasn't interesting in people of the opposite sex. Most believable lie I've ever told.

I was with a mate on a night out once. He tried to chat up a bunch of girls but they all ran away except for one, because she was on crutches. He ended up cornering her and chatting for a good couple of hours. Being extremely drunk however, he couldn't recall any of the details of the conversation the next morning.

The next night out we saw the same girl again and my mate made a move once more. As soon as he approached her she, without saying a word, punched him right in the face and stormed off.

We still really have no detailed idea as to why, but it was pretty much the funniest thing i've ever seen.

Probably the time I kept trying to ask out this girl by text. It was during the holidays so I wasn't just going to see her randomly. She kept ignoring me so I thought she didn't like me and was so horrified by the prospect of dating me that she had chosen to ignore all three times I tried to arrange a date. Then about 6 months later I found out I had two numbers in her phone number the wrong way round and in the time I'd been trying to ask her out she had eventually gone off me. I facepalmed many, MANY times.

Not me, but I have two stories from friends.
-It was obivous that one guy out of our class dug this other girl. Note, they are both way too shy to do anything. So we make this amazing plan, and he ends up telling her that he loves her. And then she just bursts out crying and running away... xD
-He told girl he liked her, and she just started laughing and left... turns out she thought it was a joke.

This is the same situation for me. Bar two exceptions (girlfriends).

Recently had a massive blow though. There's a girl I like, but she likes someone (you know how it is). I had a similar situation Junior year of high school (only in this case the girl in question didn't like another person). Junior year was different though, because the girl then told me that she would probably never see me as more than a very good friend/surrogate brother. I don't have that same certainty of "never going to happen" in this situation.
